How to get Special Midnight Archon Eggs in FFXIV

The Hatching-tide 2023 event is well underway in Final Fantasy XIV, and this year, it's all about the Tonberry. To celebrate the crafty critter, players can obtain a Tonberry outfit to Glamour by collecting and trading in the special currency known as Special Midnight Archon Eggs. Here's how to get your hands on Special Midnight Archon Eggs in FFXIV.

Where to find Special Midnight Archon Eggs in FFXIV

To begin the annual Hatching-tide event, head over to Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre in Old Gridania (X:10, Y:9) and speak to Jihli Aliapoh. You'll start the Get Along and Play Knife event quest, where you need to scare away three Sylphs in the area.

Once you've handed the quest in, you'll receive a second, which tasks you with completing the Don't Be Sylphish event FATE in Central Shroud. You'll find it at X: 24, Y:29 coordinates, south of Bentbranch. If the FATE hasn't spawned yet, wait, and it'll appear after a few minutes.

To complete the FATE, you need to collect the Archon Eggs while avoiding the area-of-effect attacks by the surrounding Sylphs. Once enough eggs have been gathered, hand them to the nearby NPC to finish the quest. The more eggs you collect, the more Special Archon Eggs you'll be rewarded with.

If you're playing by yourself, you'll have to replay the Don't Be Sylphish FATE multiple times to get enough Special Archon Eggs for all of the FFXIV Hatching-tide event rewards, so we'd recommend teaming up with surrounding players as you'll likely gain enough for each piece of the Tonberry Glamour in one go.

Once you've earned yourself some Special Midnight Archon Eggs in Final Fantasy XIV, return to Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre in Old Gridania and speak to the Dreamer NPC dressed in a Tonberry outfit. This will pull up the rewards menu where you can trade your Special Midnight Archon Eggs in for the following prizes:

• Tonberry Head - 2x Special Midnight Archon Eggs
• Tonberry Body - 2x Special Midnight Archon Eggs
• Tonberry Hands - 2x Special Midnight Archon Eggs
• Tonberry Culottes - 2x Special Midnight Archon Eggs
• Tonberry Boots - 2x Special Midnight Archon Eggs
• Pa-Paya Demastered Orchestrion Roll - 3x Special Midnight Archon Eggs
• Hippity-hoppity Hatching-tide Advertisement - 2x Special Midnight Archon Eggs
• 10x Magicked Prism (Hatching-tide) - 1x Special Midnight Archon Eggs
