The Cenote Ja Ja Gural Treasure Dungeon is the first treasure dungeon instance added in FFXIV's Dawntrail expansion, and it functions much the same way as previous treasure dungeons. First off, to be able to access it you'll need to get your hands on the correct treasure maps.

In the case of the Cenote Ja Ja Gural dungeon, you will need to collect Timeworn Br'aaxskin Treasure Maps. These maps can be gathered out in Dawntrail's open-world areas such as Shaaloani with your preferred gathering (DoL) class. To have the best chance at finding and efficiently gathering them, your gatherer should be Level 100 with gear of that respective level or close to it.

As with other treasure maps, these can only be gathered once every 18 hours (real-time), and you can only hold one of each time of treasure map in your inventory at the same time. To maximize your access to multiple maps, make use of the inventory space in your Chocobo Saddlebag and your Retainers (unless you're on a different server/data center).

You can also purchase all types of treasure maps at any time from your local Market Board. Be aware, however, that prices on these tend to fluctuate often, and they can be especially expensive with the launch of a new treasure dungeon.

Once you have some in hand, use the Party Finder to recruit a group of (preferably) eight players, so that you will have access to several maps at a time. Use the 'Decipher' ability to view your map's general location, and figure out the exact spot in the open world. Once you do, head to that spot and use the 'Dig' ability to begin a mini-instance that spawns a treasure coffer along with multiple mobs of enemies.

Upon defeating all of those mobs, open the treasure coffer and you'll be rewarded with gil, an item reward or two, and hopefully a portal that takes you to Cenote Ja Ja Gural.

Treasure Dungeons in FFXIV contain a variety of exclusive loot rewards inside treasure coffers if luck favors you (and your group). These can often be some of the most valuable items in the game and vary from rare crafting materials to mounts, minions, orchestrion rolls, furnishings, and more. Some of these items are especially rare, and it can take multiple attempts before you see them appear.

Below we've listed all of the rewards currently found inside the Cenote Ja Ja Gural Treasure Dungeon. As the Dawntrail expansion continues, over time some of these rewards will be adjusted in terms of their drop rate.

All of them can be purchased off the Market Board as well when players opt to put them up for sale, that is. Given their rarity, the prices may be a bit exorbitant, so be prepared to shell out major gil if you go that route.

  • Queziigural Mount - Trade 3 x Twilight Gemstones (obtained in Cenote Ja Ja Gural at Uah'shepya NPC in Solution Nine - Arcade Nexus area)
  • Honeysuckler Minion
  • 'Pathmaker' Orchestrion Roll
  • Ribboned Parasol (Fashion Accessory)
  • Pile of Gold (Furnishing)
  • 'It Takes Two' Hairstyle
