How to unlock the Moon-Hopper mount in Final Fantasy XIV

In Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.3, several brand new mounts were added, including the cute-yet-robotic Moon-Hopper mount. The Moon-Hopper looks perfectly at home hopping around the surface of Mare Lamentorum. Here’s how to unlock Moon-Hopper mount in FFXIV.

How to get the Moon-Hopper mount in FFXIV

The Moon-Hopper Mount is a reward for completing Loporrit Tribal Quests, and gathering the Loporrit Carat currency from those quests. However, there are several prerequisites for unlocking the Moon-Hopper.

First you’ll need to level up your reputation with the Loporrit’s to Sworn. The Sworn rank is the second highest rank, so it’ll take a few days for you to level this up. You can only take three tribal quests at a time from each of the allied tribes, so make sure you’re running your dailies.

Next, speak to Coiningway (X: 17.4, Y: 15.8) in the Hoper’s Hold (The Tribal Quest area). The Moon-Hopper can then be exchanged for 18 Loporrit Carats. It’s a large amount, but this is a brand new mount after all!

Loporrit Tribal Quest rewards

Loporrit Tribal Quests are a great way to level up crafters to the level 90 threshold. Granting some absolutely crazy experience each day, you can quickly level a Crafting job from level 81 to 90 using these quests. Previously, the best way of leveling your crafter was with the Sharlayan Deliveries, but we fully recommend switching to the Loporrit Tribal quests if you haven’t already!
