Final Fantasy XIV has no shortage of ways for players to spend their time and hard-earned gil. One of the more creative and colorful ways involves sprucing up player housing through flowers. Flowers are a special type of seed that can only be grown in planters. While primarily used for cosmetic purposes, they can also be used to grow shards.
Flower seeds can be purchased from the following vendors:
- Mist: Material Supplier (X11, Y11.4)
- Lavender Beds: Material Supplier (X11.9, Y8.3)
- The Goblet: Material Supplier (X10.9, Y8.9)
- Shirogane: Material Supplier (X10.5, Y12.1)
- Empyreum: Material Supplier (X10.2, Y9.2)
- Apartments: Apartment Merchant

For the more industrious players or those looking to expand their gardens, there is all manner of plants and vegetation ready to be grown and cultivated in a garden. Seeds can be gathered by Botanists or created by intercrossing plants. From there, they must be planted in a Garden Patch (outdoor) or a Garden Planter (indoor). Much like in real life, gardening in Final Fantasy XIV is a great way to relax and have something to show for your efforts.
