Most video games give players some control over how they play the game. One of those ways is to provide different game modes. Fire Emblem Engage has two, casual and classic. We'll break down the differences between the two and help you decide which to play. Also, get some insight into online playing in Engage.
What are the differences between Casual Mode & Classic Mode in Fire Emblem Engage?
You may be unsure how to proceed with the settings when you first start playing Fire Emblem Engage. There is really only one thing that distinguishes these two game modes, mostly a distinction between the intensity one can expect while playing. Specifically, Classic Mode allows for permanent death for your party members. As its direct opposite to Classic Mode, Casual Mode revives party members after the battle in which they perished is finished.

Should you enable Online Play in Fire Emblem Engage?
You can make many decisions in this mainline Fire Emblem entry to the franchise. Engage lets players indulge in an online mode where they can passively collect rewards. This requires you to have online connection capabilities through your Nintendo account. We would not recommend enabling online play if you do not have a Nintendo Switch Online membership. If you do, there's really no reason not to.
