For The King 2 Cure ability – What is it?

Let's Cure your problems.

Playing a healer in an RPG is my go-to role, so naturally, I wanted to be a healer in For The King 2. The Herbalist's Cure ability caught my eye, but I had yet to learn what Cure did in For The King 2; let's find out.

How does Cure work in For The King 2?

Cure is an ability the Herbalist starts with thanks to the Walking Stick item in For The King 2. Cure is a support ability used in combat, but it does not heal your characters. Instead, it removes status conditions and ailments. While Cure does use up your turn in combat, it allows you to save an herb or item that would cure the status condition.

So far, I've only encountered Cure through the Walking Stick item. You can gain this ability through other gear, but you must find these as you explore Fahrul. The Cure ability is useful early on, but later levels typically give you a fair amount of herbs, making it less useful and better to get a new weapon. The Herbalist's Find Herb ability increases the number of herbs you get, so don't hold onto the Walking Stick for too long.

All ailments affected by Cure in For The King 2

It seems Cure does not remove all status conditions, but only some of them. I've experimented with using Cure on my allies when they are afflicted with an ailment and have learned it removes the ones below. I'll update this guide as I continue, but let me know if you have Cured any other ailments, and I'll add them to the list!

  • Confused
  • Poison
  • Petrified
  • Wet
