How to unlock all Characters in For The King 2

What makes rogue-like games such as For The King 2 replayable are its unlocks, such as new gear and characters you can utilize in later runs. Read on to discover how to unlock all the characters in For The King 2.

As you work through For The King 2 you will trigger certain unlocks semi-randomly, while others will happen after specific events. All the characters you can unlock happen at particular points in your playthroughs. 

Where to find and unlock all characters - For The King 2 

Remember that once you’ve unlocked a new Character in For The King 2 you also need to pay Lore Points before you can use it. It’s a good idea to hold back some Lore for Characters and in particular Traits, as these can make a big difference to your runs.

I suggest you use Lore on Traits until you have at least four (you can use one on each Character) before concentrating on new Character unlocks. Traits give some powerful bonuses and abilities that can push your party to the next level. Next, you can get some new Characters. 

Alchemist

To unlock the Alchemist in For The King 2 you need to find the Lost Prison Cart in Chapter One. Read my full guide on How to unlock the Alchemist.

Farmer and Pathfinder

You will automatically unlock both the Pathfinder character and the Farmer when you complete Chapter One, The Resistance, for the first time. You simply need to finish the chapter. You do not need to complete the objectives.

Woodcutter

The Woodcutter works in the same way as the Alchemist above, but you instead need to find the cart in Chapter Two. The cart’s location will be in a random spot on each playthrough, but always in Chapter Two.

Shepherd and Friar

As with the Farmer and Pathfinder above, you will automatically unlock both the Friar character and the Shepherd when you complete Chapter Two.  

Hobo

The Hobo will always be found in a cart in the early part of Chapter Three. Once you’ve found the cart, unlock it to free the Hobo.
