The much anticipated Fortnite x Metallica crossover has finally gone live, bringing a number of music stars — including Lars Ulrich — to the game. As is tradition, you can undertake a variety of quests to earn free rewards, so here's a look at all the Fortnite x Metallica quests and rewards.
How to complete Fortnite x Metallica quests and earn rewards
The Fortnite x Metallica quests are divided into three categories - Battle Royale, Encore quests (Festival mode), and Bonus quests. Completing these challenges primarily rewards you with basic rewards like XP, Sprays, and loading screen, and you can also look forward to a free Parade Riffs Emote via this partnership.

Metallica Battle Royale Quests
- Spray Metallica concert images at different locations (3): Metallica Spray
- Visit the floating Metallica Loot Island stage (1): Metallica Banner Icon
- Collect the Ride the Lightning item (1): Locked reward
- Hit an opponent or a vehicle with the Ride the Lightning item (1): 10,000 XP
- Hit opponents or vehicles with the Ride the Lightning item (5): 10,000 XP
Metallica Encore Quests
- Jam at a Jam Statue for 5 seconds to start an Encore Session (1): Locked reward
- Collect Metallica Music Notes (5): Metallica Music Note Banner Icon
Bonus Quests
- Complete 20 Metallica Quests: Parade Riffs Emote
- Complete the Metallica Poster: Metallica Rises Loading Screen
How to unlock Parade Riffs Emote in Fortnite
The only way to unlock the Parade Riffs Emote in Fortnite is by completing a total of 20 Metallica Quests while the crossover is underway. As you might have noticed, only nine quests are available so far in Fortnite. But don't worry, more challenges will be released daily, so be sure to check back every 24 hours for new quests.
Finally, it's worth noting that these quests, plus the other marks of Metallica, are available until July 2, 2024, at 9 AM ET. So make sure to complete them and grab the rewards before the deadline.
