Fortnite: How to Get & Unlock Gold Styles

If you're wondering how you can unlock the golden styles for each of your Battle Pass skins in Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 2 then we'll give you the information you need! Each of the new skins has a gold style that can be obtained, and it's relatively simple to do but takes a bit of grinding to do it.

How to Unlock the Golden Styles

It's pretty simple really, you just need to level up your battle pass! If you reach a certain amount of levels, you will unlock the golden style for a particular skin. Here's how many levels you will need to gain to reach the golden style of a particular skin:

  • Midas: 100 Levels (Full Gold: Level 140)
  • Brutus: 140 Levels (Full Gold: Level 180)
  • Meowscles: 180 Levels (Full Gold: Level 220)
  • TNTina: 220 Levels (Full Gold: Level 260)
  • Skye: 260 Levels (Full Gold: Level 300)
  • Agent Peely: 300 Levels (Full Gold: Level 350)

Unfortunately, the way the levels are laid out won't get you a golden style you can actually use for a while if you're leveling through the pass normally. You get the Agent Peely skin at battle pass tier 1, but you don't get the golden style until hitting level 300! On the opposite side, you don't get the Midas skin until tier 100 but you unlock the golden style at level 100!

How to Gain XP

You'll want to play through the game quite a bit if you're looking to grind out xp to get some of these styles as soon as you can. Make sure to do all your daily challenges, complete the challenges that are unlocked weekly, and look for XP coins out on the map. You can also make sure to fill out your punch card each day to maximize your experience! Playing Team Rumble is one of the more efficient ways to gain experience because the games are longer and it's easier to get a bunch of eliminations!

  1. Fortnite is the best thing ever I have full gold minas and brudes and meosicels and tntina and yester day I just start getting gold sky

  2. How do I unlock the gold henchman style for Backboard, the skate board backbling released in Season 9, because I can’t find out how to get it.

  3. Just a heads up, full Agent Peely is at level 350. I’m currently at 343, and still have my bottom pant legs and shoes to go.

  4. Does anyone know if these gold skins will continue leveling into the next season if we don’t hit level 340 this season?

    1. I don’t think so because like previous seasons if you don’t max the skin and the season ends you lose your progress

  5. Do you have to wear the skins in order to get the golden styles? Like for example do you have to wear midas to get him gold

      1. Got to change their style. It will say change style at the bottom for the button that corresponds with the gaming system. Ex: Deadpool-Change style to Deadpool Unmasked

      1. wait so if I get to level 180 this season and I unlock gold Meowscles, can I finish that gold up next season by getting to level 40?

  6. If you reach the level threshold for instance 100 it opens the lock. The skin grows gold as you grind. So there are unknown max levels for each to be fully gold.

    1. This is correct. I don’t think it’s going to be too bad though. My battle pass is at 122 and Midas is almost completely gold.

Only his shins and shoes remain his original skin. Everything else is gold. So perhaps 25 additional levels for each skin?
