Fortnite Icy Slide Augment, explained

In Fortnite, the Reality Augments play a major role in refreshing the overall gameplay. These Augments give you the much-needed boost and grant various skills to help you in matches. Once again, Epic Games has introduced five new Reality Augments in Fortnite, which has significantly refreshed the gameplay mechanics. Here is how you can use Icy Slide Augment in Fortnite.

How to use Icy Slide in Fortnite

Icy Slide is one of the five Reality Augments in Fortnite, which gives a certain boost in mobility. Once you unlock this Augment, it will give you an icy speed boost after sliding. This is much similar to when you slide at ice-covered areas, including frozen lakes near Brutal Bastian and Lonely Labs. Using this Augment, players can utilize this momentary but increased speed after sliding in other non-icy parts of the map as well, such as The Citadel, Frenzy Fields, and the rest of the map. However, sliding can reduce your stamina, so make sure to carry plenty of Slap Juice to keep your stamina up. Make sure to have a lot of Gold Bars, as these Augments can be extremely rare to acquire.

Best Augments to use with Icy Slide in Fortnite

You can combine different Reality Augments with Icy Slide, which can boost your gameplay and increase your chances of survival in the game. Here are the Augments that can be used with Icy Slide in Fortnite.

• Aerialist: It falls under the Game Changer Augment and allows you to deploy the glider. The purpose of this Augment is that it allows you to outrun the Storm and even tackle the Shockwave Hammer attacks by the enemies. Therefore, combining Icy Slide can boost your movement speed so you can reposition yourself away from enemies.
• Storm Mark: This Augment falls under the Mobility and Scouting category, highlighting enemies in the nearby radius and the shrinking safe zone when the storm approaches. You can slide your way toward the circle, which is safe from the Storm, and after sliding, you will get a speed boost to move away further away from the Storm.
• Peely's Plunder: It falls under the looting category. This Augment directs you to a map that leads to the buried treasure, marked as X. It's a rare Augment, and it would be better to find it early on in the game to start with good loot.
