2025 Fortnite x Stranger Things Collaboration Officially Announced
Ahead of the long-awaited Stranger Things final season, Netflix has revealed its plans to celebrate the series’ grand finale with a variety of global events and collaborations, both in real life and online. For us gamers, the most exciting part of these announcements has to be the return of Stranger Things in Fortnite - for the third time!
Official information is still rather scarce, with only a few vague details revealed so far. However, we do have confirmation of an Upside Down-inspired map for the Blitz Royale mode. The event will also feature new skins, emotes, accessories, and other cosmetic items inspired by Stranger Things.
Stranger Things Collab Release Date
Aside from the few vague details mentioned above, we also know that the event is officially slated to launch on Monday, November 24, 2025, just two days before the Stranger Things Season 5 premiere, which is scheduled for Wednesday, November 26. We expect the 2025 Fortnite x Stranger Things collab to remain available in-game at least until the end of the year, as the fifth season is planned to conclude on New Year’s Eve.
Fortnite Upside Down Blitz Map
By far the most exciting part of the announcement is the fact that we’re getting a brand-new mode, and with it, a brand-new map. Inspired by the popular Blitz Royale, the Stranger Things collab introduces its very own Upside Down map, a twisted, eerie mirror of Hawkins, where the once-familiar town now feels like a gateway straight to hell.
We don't have a lot of details about this mode, but we do know that it will feature a Mind Flayer hovering above the island, as seen in the official teaser. As for gameplay mechanics, POIs, and other details, we'll have to wait for more official information. It will likely include weapons and mechanics inspired by Stranger Things, incorporated into the 5-minute blitz matches the mode is known for.

Fortnite x Stranger Things 2025 Collab Leaks and Rumors
During the Stranger Things Season 5 World Premiere event on November 6, fans of the show spotted several exciting moments, including fan-favorite cast members walking down the red carpet. However, Fortnite fans noticed something entirely different. Namely, the iconic Fortnite character Peely was seen wearing a denim battle vest similar to the one worn by Eddie Munson in Season 4.
Naturally, this has led fans to speculate that this could be one of the new skins coming with the upcoming collab. Not only that, but Peely also had The Seven logo on his battle vest, which further fueled speculation that The Seven might soon return. This theory might align with Chapter 7, which is set to launch on November 19, 2025. Just a coincidence, or solid proof? You decide.
What skins are expected?
The very first collaboration featured Chief Hopper and Demogorgon outfits, which might return to the shop during the event. Hence, if you've missed these two, now might be your chance to add them to your ever-growing collection of skins.
The Eleven skin will probably return as well, alongside all the items from the Stranger Things Bundle, which includes the Hopper's Cabin Diorama and Waffle Extravaganza back blings, Steve's Bat and Eddie's Spear pickaxes, and the Telekinetic Power Breakfast emote.
