Fortnitemares 2019 Challenges Guide – Storm King LTM

Our Fortnitemares 2019 Challenges Guide takes a look at what you'll need to do to complete these tasks that will get you a few awesome new Halloween cosmetics! Completing all of the challenges will get you a pretty nice loading screen, as well as some experience towards your battle pass.

When Do the Challenges Go Live?

The Fortnitemares Challenges should go live on October 29th, 2019 at 9am ET! This will bring on the new Storm King LTM where you'll be able to complete these challenges. Learn more about what's going on with our unofficial look at the patch notes.

THE STORM KING CHALLENGES YOU. Squad up with you Friends and face him in the Storm King LTM to stop him from destroying the Island! (Your courage and skill will be rewarded with a special Umbrella.)

• Destroy haunted household furniture (5)
  • Reward: 30,000 XP
• Leap from a Hideout while an opposing player is within 20m (1)
  • Reward: 30,000 XP
• Search a chest in a haunted forest, a ghost town, and a spooky farm (1)
  • Reward: 30,000 XP
• Deal Damage to Storm King weak points (10,000)
  • Reward: King's Wrath Spray
• Revive teammates while battling the Storm King (3)
  • Reward: Storm King Banner
• Defeat the Storm King (1)
  • Reward: Storm Sail Umbrella
• Complete All Challenges (6)
  • Reward: The Final Reckoning Loading Screen

Fortnitemares Challenges Guide

Destroy haunted household furniture (5)

I'm still researching this, but it looks like you should be able to go to any area that has houses in it. You can then look around each house for a floating piece of furniture. You will see a bit of a wispy glow around it. Once you find one of these, destroy it with your pickaxe!

I know for sure that these spawn in Salty Springs in the Storm King LTM.

Leap from a Hideout while an opposing player is within 20m (1)

This one isn't too bad, you can find hideouts all over the map. They are the placed areas that you can jump into and take the shape of a big pile of hay or a dumpster. I'd head to Team Rumble to get this one done pretty easily.

Search a chest in a haunted forest, a ghost town, and a spooky farm (1)

We know for sure that the haunted forest is Weeping Woods, and the spooky farm is Frenzy Farms. The ghost town was a bit harder to find, but it looks like it's at a landmark location that's northeast of Steamy Stacks called Pristine Point!

Deal Damage to Storm King weak points (10,000)

Storm King has glowing yellow crystals that appear on his body throughout the match. You will want to fire into those to deal damage to him and complete this challenge.

Revive teammates while battling the Storm King (3)

This is an easy one because so many teammates will be dying to the Storm King. You'll need to jump into the LTM to complete it. The people you revive do not have to be in your squad, so anyone within the event will count towards the challenge.

Defeat the Storm King (1)

You'll need to find a team that can stand up against the Storm King in the LTM! He can be a bit difficult, but I'm sure people will get better at taking him down as time goes on.

You'll get the first three of the cosmetics for completing the challenges. You can earn the Storm Sail Umbrella by finishing the Storm King LTM!
