And if the information uncovered during the Fortnite 20.40 update is correct, it looks like Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is all set to receive a live event of its own. Fortnite dataminer, Fortnite Intel, uncovered some files related to a countdown timer, hinting at an upcoming live event. When does the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 live event begin?
The official Epic Games website says the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 battle pass will end on June 2. Keeping that date in mind, there's a chance that the live event in Fortnite will take place on June 4, directly kicking off into Chapter 3 Season 3. Alternatively, the live event could happen on June 3 itself, with the servers entering into a brief downtime after the event concludes. More information on the live event should be available as we close in on the end of the season.
What is the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 live event about?
As noted by prominent Fortnite data miner, FortTory, the Doomsday device is again back on the island. The last time this device was on the island, it changed the map for good. Now, it's unlikely that we'll see any major changes to the map because we received a new map at the very beginning of Chapter 3. However, there's a high chance that the Doomsday device will be involved in the live event.
The Resistance, on the other hand, is building the Mecha Cuddle Team Leader in order to combat the Doomsday device. To make things even more interesting, there's a chance that we might get to drive the Mecha Cuddle Team Leader during the upcoming live event in Fortnite.
