Where to find Junk Rifts in Fortnite?

Open up the sky with Junk Rifts!

In Fortnite, players will come across various utility and explosive items that can be used to deal damage to opponents. The Junk Rift is one of these items, and it was unvaulted in Chapter 3 Season 3. Throwing a Junk Rift at an opponent opens up a portal in the sky, and random objects drop from this portal to damage the enemy. If you're lucky, the Junk Rift might drop a dinosaur on opponents that deal a ton of damage. Here’s how players can find the Junk Rift in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3.

All Junk Rift locations

Junk Rifts are Epic rarity items, and so far we have found them as ground loot, supply drops, Llamas, and in chests. Players will find this item all around the map, and we recommend visiting high-tier loot spots like Daily Bugle, Rave Cave, Reality Falls, Tilted Towers, Coney Crossroads, and other POIs to quickly find the Junk Rift. Once you get a Junk Rift, use it during a fight to drop random items on the enemy. Items dropped from Junk Rifts often break through builds, making it the perfect tool to rush the opponents. You can also destroy a Port-a-Fort by throwing down a Junk Rift on its location.

What are Junk Rifts in Fortnite?

The Junk Rift is a throwable item that opens a rift and spawns massive objects in the sky that plummets to the targeted area. This item shatters everything in its path, and a direct hit can deal up to 200 damage. The Junk Rift drops in stacks of two, and players can carry four of them at a time. Items dropping from the Junk Rift have a push-back effect that displaces opponents. Test them out in Battle Lab before heading into a match.

What do Junk Rifts do in Fortnite?

After finding a Junk Rift, players can use it on opponents during combat. If two or more enemies are fighting at a spot, you can aim at either one and throw the Junk Rift. This will drop down random objects on the opponent, allowing players to move in for a quick kill. Junk Rifts can be exceedingly useful in squad matches, where multiple opponents hide at the same spot. You can easily get a few knockdowns with the throwable items. While there are no Quests related to the Junk Rift yet, players can expect a few challenges arriving in Week 10 Quests.
