All Four Wildlife in Fortnite.

Where to Find Wolves, Chickens, Boars, and Frogs in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6

Whether you want to hunt them or just want to hear the chickens clucking peacefully, the guide below explains the best way to find all the wildlife!

With the new Season of Fortnite, we have been introduced to a brand new, never-before-seen mechanic: Wildlife! At the moment, animals have only a few purposes, but we expect that to change throughout the Season. In this guide, we will cover what areas to look to increase the chances of finding each type of Wildlife.

One crucial fact before we begin: Wildlife is spawned randomly. Or rather, semi-randomly. They don't have any specific locations, but there are areas in which they are far more likely to spawn than others. Let's go over each type.

Locations

Wolves

Wolves are the most commonly sought-out Wildlife (we assume) because of how cool it is to run around with a Wolf in Fortnite. The best place to look for these hostile (but tameable) creatures is in wooded and mountainous areas, especially Weeping Woods. If you drop into Weeping Woods early in a match, there is a much higher chance that you'll run into a pack of two or three Wolves patrolling the area. It's best to look for them early in the match because, by the time the first Storm Circle closes in, they'll likely have already been hunted or tamed.

Boars

Boars are the closest we have to random spawns across the whole map, but there are specific areas they usually don't spawn. Generally, you will find them most often on farmland and large, grassy areas with lots of hills. It is extremely rare that you will find them near towns or areas with more advanced housing like Lazy Lake or Holly Hedges.

Chickens

Chickens show up rarely as a random spawn throughout grassy areas, but you can find them far more frequently on farmland. If you're looking for a chicken to complete a quest, the best way to do it is to drop on Colossal Crops or the surrounding areas like The Orchard or Steel Farm.

Frogs

At the moment, it seems like Frogs are the most common form of Wildlife in Fortnite. They drop a Stinky Sac, which works as a crafting ingredient. You will find Frogs hopping around most water sources, such as Oceans, Rivers, and Ponds.

Tips

Finding animals can be tricky and it feels much more challenging if you're looking for them to complete a quest. The most important suggestion we can make if you are looking for them is to make sure your sound is turned up. All the animals make their own unique noise when you're close by, and it is much easier to find them if you listen for their calls.

Another suggestion we can make is to make use of the Hunter's Cloak. When you put on a Hunter's Cloak, it masks your scent from the animals. This makes it so they don't run away (Frogs or Chickens) or attack you (Wolves or Boars) if they see you before you see them.
