How to Reset Cosmetic Damage in Forza Horizon 5

Aww man, my car! I know I got it free in a Wheelspin, but still!

Forza Horizon 5 is a hectic game, and at some point, you are bound to go flying off of a hill into some trees, a wall, and then maybe another car. The point is that you will put a dent in your beautiful Mustang at some point, so here's how to fix it!

To fix the cosmetic damage on your car, you will want to open up the photo mode by pressing Up on the D-Pad. Once loaded in, you will see that you can press LB(Left Bumper) to reset any damage you have done to your lovely car.

How to Turn Off Cosmetic Damage

You can also just turn off cosmetic damage altogether if it grinds your gears.

Simply:

  • Press the Start Button to open the Menu
  • Go to Campaign
  • Go to Settings
  • Go to Difficulty
  • Scroll down to Damage & Tyre Wear and set it to None

This way, you never have to worry about a bump or scratch again! If you want to go the opposite direction and treat it like a simulator, scroll to the right until it says Simulation. Then you will also get performance downgrades due to the amount of damage inflicted on the car.
