Sprayfeather Gill is a Genshin Impact local specialty native to Natlan. The colorful, feather-shaped plant is used as an Ascension material for characters based in the same region. With the direct Teleport Waypoint to Natlan, you can farm for Sprayfeather Gill even as a new player!
Where to find Sprayfeather Gill in Genshin Impact
While the Sprayfeather Gill is a Natlan local specialty, it can only be found in the Ameyalco Waters, close to the "People of the Springs" tribe. Refer to the image above to locate all the Sprayfeather Gills above ground.
Some parts of the map will only unlock after completing the Tale of Dreams Plucked From Fire quest chain, which can be unlocked in a cave in the Ameyalco Waters. However, everything in the north and middle sections can be collected without any prerequisites.
Meanwhile, refer to the image above to find all the Sprayfeather Gills in the underground section of Ameyalco Waters. Some parts of this map will also only unlock after completing the same prerequisite.
You can get a total of 73 Sprayfeather Gills from farming. If you need more, I've compiled a few ways you can get extra pieces through one-time means below. If they're still not enough for you, I suggest entering a friend's world and asking for permission to farm.

This particular Exquisite Chest is special as it contains x9 Sprayfeather Gill, plus the usual Chest rewards!
How to use Sprayfeather Gill in Genshin Impact
Sprayfeather Gill acts as an Ascension material for Natlan characters. At the moment, it can only be used for ascending Mualani, but Genshin Impact may release other characters who need the same material in the future.
