Best Teams for Venti in Genshin Impact

Where can this free-spirited Bard go?

Genshin Impact version 2.6 is now live. This version's limited character banner includes Venti, the Windborne Bard. This is now Venti's second rerun, and third overall banner, so many players likely have him by now. If you are a new Venti owner, you may be wondering how you should build a team around him. Here are the best teams for Venti in Genshin Impact.

Morgana (Freeze)

Venti's most iconic team by far is the Morgana team, otherwise known as Permafreeze. The name Morgana comes from the characters that form this composition, Mona, Ganyu, and Diona. This team uses the amazing grouping potential of Venti's Elemental Burst, the massive area-of-effect Cryo from Ganyu's Burst and Charged Attacks, and the Hydro application and damage boosting potential of Mona's Omen buff.

Morgana excels in situations with many small, movable enemies. No composition in Genshin Impact is better at mobbing content than this one. In addition to keeping enemies crowd controlled permanently, Venti, Ganyu, and Mona's Bursts output tons of damage to everything caught in them. While Morgana is very prevalent in these scenarios, it will fall behind when enemies aren't freezable or movable.

This team was crafted with Diona and her healing/shielding support in mind, but many players may not need it if enemies are going to be permanently frozen. All that really matters is activating Cryo Resonance for the additional crit chance. You can exchange Diona for Rosaria and even Ayaka to provide a higher damage ceiling.

Mono Pyro

Venti's incredible value in any content that could use grouping makes him a very versatile unit. On top of that, his ability to use the Viridescent Venerer artifact set means that he will shred enemy resistance to whatever element he Swirls. This makes Venti an easy fit for Mono Element comps such as Mono Pyro.

The purpose of this composition is to boost the damage of strong elemental DPS units. In this case, Xiangling gets an attack buff from Bennett, an elemental damage buff from Kazuha, and AOE VV shred from Venti to become an absolute monster.

Mono Element teams are flexible by nature, so you could choose to replace Kazuha for another on-field Pyro DPS like Diluc or Klee. Additionally, you can create Mono comps for almost every element. Prominent examples include Mono Cryo and Mono Geo. All that matters is that you surround Venti with strong damage dealers of a single element and/or Kazuha.

Venti's Versatility

As an Anemo unit, Venti can bring tons of value to any team composition that deals elemental damage. Viridescent Venerer is such a broken artifact set that slapping Venti into almost any fourth unit slot for Swirls can work.

Even teams that don't interact with Swirl like Mono Geo or Physical comps can still benefit from Venti. His sheer grouping prowess and energy refunding passive are often enough of a reason to slot Venti in if you need a fourth.
