Genshin Impact Floral Pursuit mini-game guide – Windblume’s Breath event

Monstadt's infamous Windblume Festival runs from March 3, 2023, to March 27, 2023, and is one of Genshin Impact's biggest yearly events, bringing new friends and familiar faces into the nation of freedom. During the event period, you can participate in a plethora of fun activities with amazing rewards.

How to unlock Floral Pursuit in the Genshin Impact Windblume event

To unlock the Floral Pursuit mini-game, you must first complete the Windblume Encounter called A Gathering of Outlanders. Once that's done, you'll unlock an Event Quest called Floral Pursuit, which involves speaking to Plauen in front of Cider Lake. A new map icon called Windblume Leisure will appear, and all three event-limited activities will be held in this area.

Access Floral Chess

Floral Pursuit is a relaxing balloon-collection game that can be played in both single-player and Co-op modes. The premise is simple: collect as many Bloom Balloons as possible while avoiding obstacles, and complete all areas within a chessboard within the time limit.

To participate, speak to Plauen in the event area and select I'll give it a go. There are six stages that unlock during the first six days of the event.

Balloon Collection & Mini-map

Upon starting a round, you'll be transported to a life-sized chessboard. You can roam around freely to collect Bloom Baloons by approaching them. Reference the mini-map for the locations of all Balloons in the area.

Each chessboard consists of multiple areas, but you can unlock them by collecting a certain number of Bloom Balloons.

Ersatz Balloons & Galeblessings

You need to avoid obstacles called Ersatz Balloons, which will transport you back to the entrance of each area upon contact. They'll also drain your health bar below. As you progress, these obstacles become more aggressive—they'll move faster and move more quickly.

Fortunately, you can manually pop Ersatz Balloons. Collect Galeblessings, which look like Anemo orbs around the area. These will charge up a skill called the Ersatz Dispeller. Click on the Normal Attack button to activate the Ersatz Dispeller, forming an effect around your character. This effect lasts for a few seconds. While it's active, approaching an Ersatz Balloon will immediately pop it.

Gatherblessing

You can collect yellow orbs called Gatherblessings, which will expand your Balloon collection range. Upon picking up a Gatherblessing, a "shield" will form around your character. Any Bloom Balloon that comes in contact with the shield's range will immediately be collected.

Ring of Pursuit (Exit)

After collecting a number of Bloom Balloons, the Ring of Pursuit will appear at the end of the final area. Interact with it to exit the chessboard, completing the Floral Chess stage. Don't forget to collect rewards via the event menu.
