How to Revive Characters

Each character in your party of 4 has a health bar, and when this bear reaches zero or is emptied, your character will be incapacitated and cannot be used until revived. When in tricky situations like a dungeon, having all party members alive makes for incredibly good odds of getting out of there alive, but when a character falls in battle, the odds slowly start dwindling.

This is where the cooking mechanic comes into play, as it's extremely vital to cook before heading into difficult encounters, as food can revive characters. However, not all food has this perk, only specific ones, as each food causes different buffs. Some heal you and give you an extra health boost on top of that when others regenerate health over time, and others can heal you and buff your strength.

The food that you want to cook a decent amount of is the Teyvat Fried Egg, as, at the start of the game, this is the only food item that will revive party members. All you need is a single Bird Egg that can be found in the wild, but the best place to locate them is in tall trees! However, the Teyvat Fried Egg only restores 50-150HP on revival, which is not a lot, so another food item is essential to heal them to keep them alive!

To use food in battle, open your main menu, and then open inventory. At the top of the screen there you be 7 icons; click the 4th one in, the icon of the fork and the spoon forming a symbol of the cross, this will open the food section of the inventory. Find the Egg picture and click on it, and information on what the effects will occur will pop up on the screen, beneath that click on the Use button. Another window will appear showing your 4 party members, click on the character that has fallen or the one which doesn't have a green health par above their picture, then click confirm. Now the party member is alive and well and ready for battle once again!

You can eat food whenever you are, just already remember to eat when at low health, as it is the difference between life and death!
