Genshin Impact The Splendorous Sky That Day World Quest guide – Khvarena of Good and Evil

The Splendorous Sky That Day is the first World Quest in the Genshin Impact quest chain called Khvarena of Good and Evil. It's set in the desert areas northwest of the Desert of Hadramaveth, called the Girdle of the Sands.

This quest chain is a must-do as it will unlock Sorush, a Gadget necessary for completing puzzles in the area.

How to unlock Khvarena of Good and Evil quest chain in Genshin Impact

Start by heading to the edge of the road north of the Wounded Shin Valley, which connects to the Girdle of the Sands, where this quest chain will take place. Once you enter the new area, Paimon will mention that there could be treasure buried somewhere. Interact with the spot in front of the Teleport Waypoint to dig. You'll get a Cryo drum, officially starting this quest chain.

How to complete The Splendorous Sky That Day World Quest in Genshin Impact

After obtaining the Cryo drum, talk to Katheryne in Sumeru City. Then follow the quest navigator north of the first Teleport Waypoint in the Girdle of the Sands. The quest navigator will keep moving as you approach it, so simply follow it until you're prompted to speak to the person near the camp.

He'll introduce himself as Pyrrho. When he attacks you, fight back until Sorush comes in and introduces herself.

Next, follow Sorush until she stops near a swamp filled with Hilichurls. Defeat the enemies to trigger dialogue with Sorush, then continue following her until you reach a dead end.

Use the power of Khvarena to destroy the Gray Crystals

On the right, you'll find an arrow pointing to a suspicious-looking boulder. Use a claymore or Geo Damage to break it, revealing a Khvarena's power, which looks like a green orb with wings. The Khvarena will remove the Gray Crystal, allowing you to proceed further.

If this was your first time using the power of Khvarena to remove a Gray Crystal, you'll unlock the Wonders of the World Achievement called Shining in the Mire.

Go to the training grounds of the Order of Skeptics

With the path now unblocked, go through the cave to find a swampy, open area. There is a Seelie beside some Treasure Hoarders right in front of you. While optional, we recommend following it, as it will guide you toward the Order of the Skeptics.

Otherwise, use the Four-Leaf Sigils and bridges to keep going upward, until you're at the top of the mountain. You'll find yourself in a small settlement in the Temir Mountains, where you must speak to the man in the Akademiya uniform. He'll introduce himself as Nasejuna.

After speaking with him, you'll receive Sorush in your Gadget inventory. Equip Sorush while exploring the Girdle of the Sands from here on out, as she's necessary for solving puzzles. We also highly recommend interacting with the nearby Statue of The Seven to light up the Gavireh Lajavard portion of the map.

Next, climb the rickety bridge beside the Statue of The Seven to find a glowing spot. Approach it to trigger dialogue with Nasejuna and Sorush.

Go to the Vourukasha Oasis

Follow the quest navigator to the edge of the west of Tunigi Hollow, pictured above. Approach the glowing spot in front of the cave, then proceed by entering. You can complete a small puzzle using Sorush if you like, but it's optional.

Once you're at the edge of the cliff, glide toward the center of the crystallized Wenut to trigger a cutscene and dialogue with Sorush.

Once that's done, follow the quest navigator toward the Vourukasha Oasis. The navigator will keep moving until you eventually reach your destination.

When you reach the area pictured above, you don't have to solve the puzzle. Instead, climb the slope on the right to find the cave's exit. Go through it and keep following the quest navigator to reach the Oasis.

Don't forget to interact with the Statue of The Seven to unlock the Realm of Farakhkert portion of the desert.

Next, you need to talk to Zurvan, who's located in the southern part of the Vourukasha Oasis. Speaking to him will complete the World Quest and unlock the next two quests in the Khvarena of Good and Evil quest chain:
