Genshin Impact Wilting Weeping Willow World Quest Guide – The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes

Wilting Weeping Willow is a Genshin Impact World Quest in The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes quest chain. It unlocks immediately after completing Foggy Forest Path and involves solving a puzzle with similar mechanics—while underwater.

Upon starting the World Quest, you'll be asked to search for a key near the Weeping Willow. Follow the directions below to complete the objective.

How to Search for the "key" near the "Weeping Willow" in The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes – Genshin Impact

Follow the quest navigator to the Weeping Willow of the Lake in the Erinnyes Forest region. You'll find a wide area highlighted in the mini-map and World Map, but the goal is to dive underwater to find an altar, along with a puzzle similar to the ones you solved in the Foggy Forest Path.

Swim north of the altar to find a Xenochromatic Hunter Ray and absorb its ability, then swim toward the Fontemer Seagrass housing a Xenochromatic Ball Octopus above the altar. Cut the Fontemer Seagrass to free the Xenochromatic Ball Octopus, then absorb its ability to use in the puzzle.

Swim toward the purple puzzle, where you'll find two Contaminated Bacterial Mats (purple rocks), similar to the ones in the Foggy Forest Path. Press and hold the Xenochromatic Ball Octopus' ability to get rid of the Contaminated Bacterial Mats, which will trigger a bubble to spawn.

Press and hold the Xenochromatic Ball Octopus' ability to move the bubble toward the exact position shown in the image above. It needs to encapsulate all three Reed Pipes but must be positioned closer to the Reed Pipes with one rune on top of them. When positioned like the image above, burst the bubble with a Normal Attack to trigger the Reed Pipes to activate, completing the puzzle.

Upon completing the puzzle, an Exquisite Chest will spawn. After looting it, interact with the glowing spot on the altar to pick up the item, triggering dialogue with Pahsiv and completing the World Quest.
