The Asase Shrine is located west of Seirai Island and is a dream location for all of Teyvat's cat-loving Travelers. There, you'll meet Neko, the Self-Proclaimed "Provisional Head Priestess of the Asase Shrine" and a source of free Primogems thanks to a series of Daily Quests and the occasional Commission or two.
You can unlock The Cat's Trail—one of five daily Commissions from Neko that you can get by chance—after completing the nine-part "Neko is a Cat" World Quest.
Start by talking to Neko, who's worried about a naughty kitten, Konbumaru, that went out to play and has not returned. Ending the dialogue will prompt a two-minute timer. You must find Konbumaru within that period.

The mini-map will be highlighted with the quest marker, indicating the vicinity of your search. At the top of your screen, you'll see a timer and your Distance from Konbumaru. Keep running in the direction where the Distance value is getting smaller—indicating that the cat is nearby.
If you find that the Distance is stuck at a certain point, look up or down! Konbumaru might be hiding on top of a tree or structure or under the cliff.
Unlike other cats, Konbumaru's name is on top of its head, so you can spot it immediately. Interact with it to pick it up and return to Neko, completing the Commission.
Keep in mind that Konbumaru's location changes every time you receive this Commission, so you'll have to follow the quest marker and use the Distance value to guide you to the cat every time.
The Neko is a Cat questline is a prerequisite to plenty of interactions with Inazuma's local cats. On that note, check out our guide on How to get a Precious Chest from the paw-shaped rocks in Fort Hiraumi Genshin Impact on Pro Game Guides.
