How to get Courier’s Trial Keystone in Genshin Impact – Ancestral Temple puzzle solutions

Courier's Trial Keystones are Genshin Impact Quest Items that can be obtained by solving three puzzles across the Ancient Temple. These are used to trigger a Scions of the Canopy World Quest called To the Night, What is the Night's. Follow my walkthrough below to solve the puzzles and get three Courier's Trial Keystones.

All Courier's Trial Keystone locations & puzzle solutions in Genshin Impact – To the Night, What is the Night's World Quest prerequisite

To get the Courier's Trial Keystones, you need to transform into a Yumkasauri and solve three puzzles around the Ancient Temple. The keystones can be found inside the Exquisite Chest rewards, so don't forget to loot them immediately after. You can solve the puzzles in any order.

Courier's Trial Keystone #1

Head to the area circled above in the Ancestral Temple to find the first puzzle. Start by transforming into a Yumkasauri with the help of the nearby symbol.

Now that you're a Yumkasauri, follow the steps below to solve the puzzle:

1. Use the Elemental Skill button to pick up the ball from the post.
2. Press and hold the Elemental Skill button to target the center of the portal-looking mechanism. Release to throw the ball into the mechanism.

When the ball successfully enters the mechanism, it will deactivate and reveal an Exquisite Chest reward. Loot the Exquisite Chest to get a Courier's Trial Keystone, plus other rewards.

Courier's Trial Keystone #2

Head to the area circled in the image above to find the second puzzle on a broken bridge. You need to be transformed into a Yumkasauri. If you're not, go to the Teleport Waypoint at the center and transform using the provided symbol.

This puzzle requires careful timing, so follow my instructions carefully. First, use the Elemental Skill to pick up the green ball.

Next, press and hold the Elemental Skill to aim at the orange mechanism on the other side of the bridge. Aim for the exact center, then release to throw the ball. The ball will immediately rebound back in your direction.

While doing this step, do not cross the bridge as you need to be near the locked gate for the next step.

As soon as you throw the ball into the mechanism, immediately use the Elemental Skill button to pull the lever by the gate to unlock it. When the gate unlocks, the ball must go through to solve the puzzle.

Refer to the image above, which shows the ball going through the unlocked gate. If it fails to go through the gate, don't worry as you can try again. I suggest doing these steps as quickly as possible to ensure the gate is open by the time the ball rebounds.

Completing the puzzle will reward you with an Exquisite Chest, which you need to loot to get a Courier's Trial Keystone.

Courier's Trial Keystone #3

The third puzzle is located in the area circled above. You also need to transform into a Yumkasauri to solve it. You can find a Saurian symbol by the Teleport Waypoint for a quick transformation.

Once you reach the puzzle area, the first thing to do is attack the mechanism with a Normal Attack, which will trigger it to face the locked gate. A small cutscene will play showing the animation, so you'll know you're on the right track.

Next, pick up the blue ball using the Yumkasauri's Elemental Skill.

Once you've done this, press and hold the Elemental Skill button to aim at the center of the mechanism. Release to throw the ball through it. As soon as you throw the ball into the mechanism, immediately attack it with a Normal Attack to trigger the gate to unlock. Doing so will allow the ball to pass through.

Another cutscene will play, showing the ball entering another mechanism in the unlocked gate. When it successfully goes through, the puzzle will complete and you'll be rewarded with an Exquisite Chest. Loot the Chest to get a Courier's Trial Keystone.
