Should You pull for Ganyu or Zhongli in Genshin Impact?

Genshin Impact has had quite a few banners, but none of them have been as rough as the ones in the 2.4 patch. With Xiao and Shenhe coming to a close, it's time for players to choose between Ganyu and Zhongli. Both are Spiral Abyss staples, and it's Ganyu's first time rerunning, making her even harder to pass up.

The problem with choosing between Ganyu and Zhongli is that they are some of the most sought-after characters in the game. They are two of the most popular designs, two of the most useful characters, and are both one of the best ways to deal with the Spiral Abyss, a daunting task in itself.

Here's what you should consider before pulling for Ganyu or Zhongli:

• Do you need a strong shield to protect your team team, Zhongli is the best in the game.
• What five-stars do you have, Shenhe is great with Ganyu and Itto works great with Zhongli.
• Both can fill support roles, but Ganyu can easily be a main DPS.

It's much easier to find a main DPS than having a supporting character as powerful as Zhongli, as he can absorb high amounts of damage. Ganyu is powerful, but characters like Hu Tao and Ayaka can be just as devastating when built right, so unless you want a cryo archer, needing a DPS shouldn't sway you away from Zhongli.
