Genshin Impact has had many interesting developments happen in the last few months. Now, with rumors of a delay swirling around, you can't help but wonder what an extended version will look like. Will this mean 2.7 is short, and will Ayaka's banner simply run out and not be replaced?
If a delay does happen, the good news is that 2.7 wasn't set to be a big patch anyway. Here are the things that are most likely to happen in response to a delay:
- 2.6 will be expanded by three weeks.
- 2.7 will be three weeks long and only feature Yelan's banner.
- The Battle Pass will take less to level up in 2.7.
- We will see events pushed back, similar to the Spices From the West event.
- Two rerun banners will be added after Ayaka's finished running.
Not much is going to be lost and players will have more time to save for Yelan. Luckily, it seems the HoYoverse already has some emergency plans in place, so Genshin Impact will still be up and running with a few placeholder events and banners.
