How to gain player levels in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed

Player levels in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed are primarily gained by playing matches as a Ghostbuster, but there are also ways to earn more experience points per match. Doing less Property Damage boosts your score. There are also bonus awards you can achieve by meeting certain milestones in a match, like busting a certain amount of minions, or calming a certain amount of civilians.

Extra achievements can also help to boost your player levels. Collecting a certain amount of Fungi throughout all of your matches will grant you an experience boost. Side Hustles include daily and weekly challenges, as well as Contracts. Contracts are assignments you can take on and complete over any amount of time. Once the goals are completed they will reward you with bonus experience points and often new customization options for your Ghostbuster.

How to gain tool levels in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed

Tool levels can only be gained through use. Your Particle Thrower and Proton Pack gain levels when tethering Ghosts or destroying minions. Ghost Traps level up each time you trap a ghost in your own trap. P.K.E. meters are a bit different, as detecting Rifts and Ghosts does nothing to add experience. Successfully using a P.K.E. Blast, however, will. P.K.E. Blasts are used to stun a Ghost or reveal an Artifact or Rift.

Each type of Ghost unlocks at certain player levels, but they also have certain variants that can only be unlocked by playing as that type of Ghost in a match. Ghosts earn more points per match when they haunt more objects or horrify more civilians. Earning more levels will also unlock new color variations for each ghost, allowing you to personalize your specter.
