How to get Skirnir’s Gambanteinn in God of War Ragnarök

Gambanteinn isn't easy to get.

God of War Ragnarök is littered with loot, items, upgrades, and more to discover as you journey across the Nine Realms. You can use a lot of the loot you find to craft powerful weapon components for Kratos, including the Hilt of Angravadall. But to craft this, you need a material called Skirnir's Gambanteinn. This may leave you wondering where to get Skirnir's Gambanteinn in God of War Ragnarök.

Where to find Skirnir's Gambanteinn in God of War Ragnarök

The only way to get Skirnir's Gambanteinn is by defeating an optional boss called Grave Belly. While this boss is found in Alfheim, you will need to progress through Vanaheim and complete several quests before encountering this boss. Here is where to find and get Skirnir's Gamabanteinn in God of War Ragnarök.

After completing Vanaheim and having Freya enhance your chisel, you can enter an area in Alfheim called the Forbidden Sands. This is found northeast of The Barrens. Once within this area, you will need to complete the side quests, Freyr's Gift and The Desert Door. These quests are intertwined, and you will encounter Grave Belly while completing them.

Grave Belly is a large and challenging boss, but defeating it is the only way to earn Skirnir's Gambanteinn. Once you have this resource in hand, you can head to a forge and craft the Hilt of Angravadall.
