Clothing plays a huge role in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - Definitive Edition. Players can visit any clothing store on the map. Players can customize CJ's clothing extensively.
The only prerequisite to many of these stores is to complete the mission Nines and AKs. Sweet will call CJ and inform him to start flying his flags.
In the wardrobe room of clothing stores, players can purchase articles of clothing. Clothing items are categorized by the stores where players purchased them and the types of clothing, including:
- Torso: Tops
- Legs: Bottoms
- Shoes: Footwear
- Watches: Worn on CJ's left wrist
- Chains: Necklaces
- Shades: Glasses or masks
- Hats: Headwear

Clothes make a huge difference in sex appeal and a relatively small difference in respect.
The GTA San Andreas has six different clothing stores. Fitting rooms allow players to try on items before purchasing them. The player can immediately wear any item bought at one of these clothiers, and it will appear in all wardrobes located in safehouses. Grove Street Families' gang color is green, which appears on some of the clothing on sale.
