This may seem a bit archaic compared to the newer releases, but it remains a vital part of the game. The original game required an SMG. There has been no change here; the player must still use an SMG to shoot.

On PS4, turn to one side and press L1. To shoot from a car, players must press this button to change weapons. CJ will automatically shoot towards the driver's side of the vehicle if he is looking forward or back.

CJ's followers don't need to do anything more than drive with him. They'll open fire as soon as they spot enemies. Gangsters following CJ will use any weapon they have.

Anyone shooting will have low accuracy and see their shots spaced out if CJ drives too fast. It is best to drive slowly and smoothly.
