+ Scales exceptionally well with gear and investment
+ Poseidon fits seamlessly into almost every team composition

Athena
+ Athena is one of the best damage-soaking Guardians in the game
+ Shields allies while absorbing lethal damage herself
+ Provides consistent frontline stability in all modes
+ Still contributes good DPS damage for a defensive unit

Hades
+ Clone-based assassin mechanics constantly pressure enemy backlines
+ Hades forces enemies to waste skills on illusions
+ Strong in both PvP and boss encounters
+ Remains effective even with moderate investment

Ifrit
+ Ignite-based damage scales extremely well over time
+ Consistent DPS in both short and extended fights
+ Excellent synergy with burn and AoE teams
+ Ifrit is strong across all game modes

Ares
+ Extremely high burst damage with self-buffing mechanics
+ Stats scale a lot once aRES secures a kill
+ Strong frontline presence despite being offense-focused
+ One of the most oppressive UR damage dealers

Huginn and Muninn
+ Huginn and Muninn shreds enemy teams with sustained high attack speed damage
+ Excels against both tanks and squishy targets
+ Reliable DPS in PvE and PvP alike
+ Minimal setup required to perform well

Scheherazade

+ Damage scales aggressively with enemy debuffs
+ Excellent boss and wave-clearing potential
+ Faust is one of the strongest offensive mages when built correctly

A Tier Luminaries

LuminaryPros & Cons

Fenrir
+ Exceptional single-target burst damage
+ Fenrir deletes priority targets quickly
+ Great if enemies lack assassin counters

Marylis
+ Strong overall damage and dueling potential
+ Marylis is effective against priority enemies
- Requires external healing to stay consistent

Gullveig
+ Healing suppression heavily punishes sustain teams
+ Gullveig has strong health-drain mechanics in skills
- Situationally devastating, especially when heavily invested

Medusa
+ Fast and consistent DPS output
+ Medusa is easy to slot into most teams, a versatile pick
- Slightly weaker burst compared to top-tier archers

Brynhild
+ Balanced warrior with good burst and survivability
+ Brynhild performs well in extended fights
- Lacks overwhelming late-game scaling

Helveil
+ Strong debuff application and control presence
+ Helveil is useful against tank-heavy teams
- Damage output is more utility-focused

Atanith
+ Enables lifesteal-heavy team comps
+ Atanith adds crowd control to sustain teams
+ Strong in most PvE game modes

Titania
+ Very high raw healing output
+ Titania keeps teams alive through heavy pressure
- Limited utility outside healing

Tyrfing
+ Solid burst warrior with execution mechanics
+ Tyrfing has good synergy with buffers
- Falls short against heavily armored enemies

Asteros
+ Balanced mage with reliable AoE damage
+ Asteros has consistent performance across modes
- Does not excel in burst situations

B Tier Luminaries

LuminaryPros & Cons

Lorilin
+ Strong single-target burst DPS
+ Lorilin is good against most boss fights and modes
- Limited AoE, bad against a group of enemies

Nemesis
+ Nemesis is a useful backline assassin
+ Good PvP usage, especially with equipment
- Requires careful positioning, otherwise useless

Nanalie
+ High AoE damage potential in skills
+ Nanalie can swing fights quickly with multihit
- Extremely fragile. Requires a Guardian to be alive

Herman
+ Decently Tanky with healing suppression tools
+ Herman is a good early-game guardian in most modes
- Becomes fragile later. Outclassed by other tanks

+ Damage reduction and shielding buffs for allies
+ Caligula helps against burst teams. Especially in PvP

Siegfried
+ Siegfried has decent off-tank capabilities early on
+ Decent warrior damage in most modes
- Needs heavy support late game

- Weak to HP reduction effects

Drasill

+ Useful in double-guardian teams
- Cannot replace a main healer

How to Create the Best Team Comp - Tips & Tricks

Team CompFaction SynnergyUpgrade Order
* x1 Guardian (tank): Athena, Poseidon, Herman
* x1 Priest (healer): Scheherazade, Titania, Atanith
* x2-x3 DPS: Mix of single-target (Ifrit, Hades) and AoE (Faust, Huginn & Muninn)
* x1 Flex slot: Utility or second tank for hard content
3+ characters from the same faction activate bonus stats
Main factions: Sanctum, Arcane, Elemental, Umbral
Check character details for faction tags
1. Upgrade your main tank first (Athena or Poseidon)
2. Star-up main DPS (Ifrit or Hades)
3. Healers work fine at base rarity initially
4. Focus on 4-5 core units before building roster depth

How to Reroll in Dragon Traveler

Rerolling in Dragon Traveler

You can reroll in Dragon Traveler, but there are a few steps. Rerolling takes 15-20 minutes per attempt but significantly improves your starting roster. First, complete Chapter One to unlock summoning and rewards. Make sure you are playing on a guest account. Redeem all available codes to claim summoning currency. If you didn't get your desired Dragon Traveler character, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Profile by selecting your image in the top left corner of the screen.
  2. Select the 'User Center' option to check your account.
  3. From the menu, select the 'Delete Account' option.
  4. Read the Account Deletion Disclaimer and press 'Confirm'.
  5. Once completed, you can log in to a new Guest Account.

Then, create a new guest account and again complete the tutorial and chapter one to summon new units. Once you pull a strong S-tier Luminary, you can then bind your account to secure your progress.

Best Reroll Targets (Priority Order)

S-Tier Reroll Targets:

  • Ifrit - Highest single-target burst DPS, dominates all content
  • Athena - Best tank with shields, life link, essential for PvP
  • Hades - Top PvP assassin, clone mechanics pressure enemies

A-Tier Reroll Targets (Good Alternatives):

  • Scheherazade - Best healer, fits every team composition
  • Ares - UR warrior with massive burst and self-buffs
  • Huginn & Muninn - Sustained DPS that scales well without dupes

Acceptable Reroll Results:

  • Any 2 SSR from the S-tier or A-tier list
  • 1 UR + 1 S-tier SSR
  • Ifrit alone would do the trick as he's really, really good!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Who are the best Luminaries in Dragon Traveler?

Poseidon, Athena, Ares, Hades, Ifrit, and Scheherazade are considered top-tier due to their damage stats, skills, attributes, and versatility in team comps.

Can I reroll in Dragon Traveler?

Yes. After completing Chapter One and using all available codes, you can log out of a guest account and create a new one to reroll.

Is UR rarity always better than SSR?

Not always. Top-tier SSR units like Scheherazade, Huginn, Muninn, and others outperform weaker UR units if you've got higher stars and equipment.

Are D-tier heroes usable at all?

Only as very early fillers. They fall off quickly and should not receive long-term resources.

Is Dragon Traveler F2P-friendly?

Yes. You receive free SSR Poseidon from login rewards, 1,000 free summons, and guaranteed SSR within 50 pulls. Free characters like Oberonnie (tank) and Siren (healer) remain viable through mid-game. However, competitive PvP heavily favors paying players.

What's the best beginner team composition?

Best team comp for beginners is:
* Poseidon (free UR tank/DPS)
* Scheherazade (healer)
* Ifrit (DPS) + Athena (guardian)
* Huginn & Muninn (sustained DPS).
This balanced team handles story progression, AFK farming, and early Guild content.
