How to get Grass in The Survivalists

The Survivalists is a brand new game by Team 17, who are the makers of popular titles like Golf with your Friends, Overcooked, and The Escapists. That last game is a bit more relevant than the others, because The Survivalist takes place in the universe that The Escapists takes place in. If you are a fan of survival games, then this should be right up your alley. You can also play along or with friends, if you'd like to have some company as you work to survive in this harsh environment.

One of the early things you are going to do in the game is craft some items. These will require resources, and one of those important resources is grass.

How to find and collect Grass

To get grass in The Survivalists, you will first need to craft a Hand Axe. This just requires two pebbles, which you should be able to find lying around near the wreckage of your raft. Once you have your pebbles, craft yourself the axe by heading into your crafting menu. Now that you have your Hand Axe, make sure you have it selected and look for some grass that has flowers on it. Once you have found some, start smacking it with your axe and you will find yourself with not only some Grass, but some Petals as well!

Grass is used in some important recipes, especially for when you first get started. You need it for the Straw Bundle and Rope, which are used in a variety of important items. These are especially useful because you will want to create a bed pretty quickly! It gets dark pretty quickly, and you will want to sleep through the night. You will need to craft a few things to get your bed going, but one of the essential elements of it will be using grass for that Straw Bundle.

Once you get deeper into the game, you will no longer need to use the primitive Hand Axe. Most melee type items should cut the grass for you!
