Best Trinkets in Hades 2

Get the most out of your Trinkets.

Trinkets are gifted to players in Hades 2 after giving special NPCs bottles of Nectar. I've compiled a list of the best Hades 2 Trinkets to help you use them efficiently in your next run.

Hades 2 Best Trinket List

This list does not include Trinkets relating to God and Goddess boons because those depend on how you play and who you like. Instead, it contains the Best Hades 2 Trinkets that any player can benefit from. If you're missing any of these, I recommend giving Nectar to their respective characters so you can use them whenever.

Knuckle Bones

Received from: Odysseus in the Crossroads

If you have trouble taking out Guardians but don't have the right circumstances to use the Evil Eye, the Knuckle Bones are a great option. They both reduce the damage you take from Guardians, like Hecate and Scylla, and decrease the health of the Guardian you fight after equipping. This gives you a slight advantage that can be the difference between life and death in a fight. Increasing the rank of Knuckle Bones will increase how much health the first Guardian loses at the beginning of their fight. I recommend equipping it right before taking on a Guardian you struggle with.

Luckier Tooth

Received from: Schelemeus in the Crossroads

For players of the original Hades, the Luckier Tooth Trinket is used exactly like Skelly's Lucky Tooth. When you die from an enemy's attacks, the Luckier Tooth will revive you once with a designated amount of health. The amount of health depends on the Rank of the Luckier Tooth. It's handy in a pinch if you haven't unlocked Death Defiance or have already used yours up.

Evil Eye

Received from: Nemesis in the Crossroads

The Evil Eye Trinket allows players to do extra damage to the enemy that slayed them in their previous run. The amount of damage you do depends on what rank the Trinket is at. If you complete a run by slaying either Eris or Chronos, this trinket will continue to apply its effect to the last enemy that did kill you. I do not recommend starting with this trinket because its greatest use is fighting against bosses you just lost against. For example, I mainly used Evil Eye against Eris after dying to her the night before. It allowed me to take her out much more efficiently due to the damage buff. Get the cauldron upgrade that lets you change Trinkets between areas and equip the Evil Eye before fighting against the boss that defeated you for the best results.

Moon Beam

Received from: Selene

I've found Selene's Hexes to be the most powerful moves in the game. Equipping Moon Beam at the start of a run is a great way to power up these Hexes quickly. It does rely on having the luck to find several of Selene's "boons" throughout the map, so make sure to select her whenever possible. After choosing a Hex, Moon Beam allows players to unlock additional upgrades each time they meet Selene. For example, let's say you meet Selene after grabbing a Hex and she allows you to choose three upgrades. With a Rank 3 Moon Beam equipped, you'll be able to choose six upgrades instead of the three! After you've upgraded your Hex enough, swap Trinkets for something more fitting for your next objective.

Crystal Figurine

Received from: Circe in the Rift of Thessaly

The Crystal Figurine Trinket activates inactive Arcana Cards after players defeat a Guardian. If you've unlocked a lot of Arcana Cards, you'll have some great luck with this one. The higher the Rank the figurine has, the stronger the activated Arcana Cards will be. However, this Trinket may become less useful as you boost your Grasp and unlock and upgrade the Judgement Arcana Card. You could combine the two to activate all of your Arcana Cards in a single run, but those in the later stages of the game may want to stick to just the Judgement card.

Transcendent Embryo

Received from: Primordial Chaos

The usefulness of Chaos' blessings is diminished only by the punishments they inflict for you to receive them. The Transcendent Embryo bypasses this by giving you direct access to a randomized Chaos blessing. The only drawback is that the blessing changes after eight encounters. Increasing the Rank of the embryo will increase the rarity of the blessings you are given. If you prefer Daedelus hammers to Chaos blessings, I recommend using Icarus' keepsake instead.
