All Mine’s Eye Collection Chests in Hogwarts Legacy

Don't 'MINE' me; just here to collect some chests.

The Mine's Eye holds two Collection Chests, allowing you to collect a few special items such as Room of Requirement decor or traits for your gear. You can claim these Collection Chests while completing the It's All Gobbledegook main quest, but if you didn't happen to find them the first time through, here's a step-by-step guide to locate them successfully so you don't miss out on any of that good loot.

These Mines can be a bit confusing, with plenty of twists and turns and tunnels leading to various areas. The key to finding the Collection Chests in here is to explore every possible nook and cranny. Use Revelio to find little pulleys and objects you can interact with. Here's where to find both of the chests:

Mine's Eye Collection Chest #1

To find the first Collection Chest in the Mine's Eye, you'll need to come to your first eye door. This door works just like the one at the main entrance and the eye-chests. You'll need to use your Disillusionment spell to turn invisible and then approach the door when the eye can't see you to open it. This will give you access to the kitchen area of the mine and allow you to find the large boiler room.

This boiler room will have enemies for you to fight as well as a boiler to light, connected to some very large-looking gears. To find the chest, take the staircase on your left side and then locate a grate beside a chained door. To get through the grate, use Accio or Depulso to move the grate out of the way. Then climb through the tunnel till you get to a small room. You'll find the chest right in here.

Mine's Eye Collection Chest #2

To find the second Collection Chest, you'll once again need to come to an eye door. Use Disillusionment to unlock it and access the boiler. You need to light up the boiler with a fire spell in order to pull the handle to the right of the eye door. This powers up the elevator and will lead you to the next area.

Here you will come to a fork in the road with two branching paths. You'll want to keep left and head up the stone stairs. You will come to a locked door. You'll need a level two Alohomora to unlock it, which you can get by completing some of the Man Behind the Moons quest. The Collection Chest will be sitting right inside this locked room.

There are plenty more Collection Chests hidden away in dungeons like this. Be sure to click on the icons on the map to see how many are available in each area. You'll have to explore every branching tunnel and corner to ensure you don't miss anything.
