How to unlock Expelliarmus spell in Hogwarts Legacy
Expelliarmus is one of the most handy spells a witch or wizard can add to their arsenal of spells. You can use this spell on your enemies to quickly disarm them for a moment and use combination spells to cause damage in combat. You can unlock Expelliarmus quite early in the game. To unlock this spell, you need to complete Professor Hecat Assignment 2. To complete Assignment 2, you need to fulfill two objectives. The first one is to dodge-roll 10 times to protect yourself from enemy attacks. The second task is to use the spell Incendio five times. You will be able to use Incendio after finishing Hecat's Assignment 1.
There are two ways in which you can achieve both the tasks: find enemies in the open world or Crossed Wands battle. If you look outside Hogwarts, you can surely locate enemies roaming about. Engage them in fights and keep dodge rolling as many times as possible. Remember, you need to dodge-roll 10 times to complete the first objective, and also use Incendio five times on your enemies which will conclude the second. If finding enemies outside is difficult, then you can always go to Crossed Wands Battles. They happen inside the school where you are tasked to defeat your classmates in combat.
After you learn Levioso and Accio on your first day, go to Lucan Brattleby, after which you can challenge other students in duels. In Crossed Wand duels, you can achieve both objectives while fighting multiple opponents. Once you have completed both tasks, go to the Defense Against the Dark Arts class where Professor Hecat will teach you the Disarming spell (Expelliarmus) in Hogwarts Legacy.
