Why can’t I download Hogwarts Legacy on PS4?

That's a long wait for Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy is the long-awaited and highly-anticipated open-world RPG set in the Harry Potter universe and full of quests. The title received early access ahead of its February 10, 2023, launch date and has already set impressive numbers. While many are playing and enjoying the game, some see that they cannot play or download Hogwarts Legacy. This may leave you wondering why Hogwarts Legacy cannot be downloaded.

Why can't I play Hogwarts Legacy - When is Hogwarts Legacy Available?

You cannot play Hogwarts Legacy on PS4 because it is technically not available yet. Hogwarts Legacy was only released for the PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S on February 10, 2023. All other platforms, including PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One, will have to wait until April 4, 2023, to download and play Hogwarts Legacy.

This is due to the game releasing on current-gen hardware first and delaying the release on last-generation consoles. So if you see that you cannot play Hogwarts Legacy for several days, it is because it has not been unlocked. You will need to be patient and wait until it officially releases on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
