In a game like Honkai: Star Rail with plenty of supportive characters, Clara stands out as one of the best flat-out damage dealers, even if her use is very situational. She can attract damage her way so that her beloved Mr. Svarog can counterattack. This, combined with her naturally high Attack stat, gave me plenty of reason to build her immediately after I pulled her. Having used her extensively, I'm here to share everything I know about how to build Clara in Honkai: Star Rail.
Best Light Cones for Clara in Honkai Star Rail
Clara's kit is super unique. If you're building Clara for Simulated Universe or a more recent stage, here are your top Light Cone picks:
- Something Irreplaceable (Preferred): Increases Clara's ATK by 20-40%. When the wearer defeats an enemy or is hit, she immediately restores HP equal to a % of her ATK and increases her DMG output by 20-40% until the end of her next turn. This is a Light Cone that will let you build a purely ATK-stated Clara.
- On the Fall of Aeon: Whenever Clara attacks, their ATK is increased by 8% (base), up to four times. When she inflicts Weakness Break on enemies, her DMG output further increases by at least 12% for two turns.
- A Secret Vow: This is Arlan's Light Cone. It increase her DMG dealt by up to 40% with Superimposition. The wearer also deals an extra DMG to enemies with a higher HP percentage than the wearer. It's only really useful situationally, but the increased DMG out will serve your Clara well.

Best free-to-play Light Cone in Honkai Star Rail
Shattered Home is a three-star Light Cone that allows the wielder to deal extra damage to enemies that are over half health. You'll find that this Light Cone makes life a lot easier since the first attack Clara uses is often the most important. If she can get one big first attack, she can likely clean up the rest of the enemies through counterattacks with Svarog.
Best Relic set and Planar Orbment for Clara in Honkai Star Rail
The Champion of Street Boxing Relic set was practically tailor-made for Clara. It's a great way to capitalize on all the damage Clara is taking for the team, and I don't recommend another relic set over it.
- Two-piece bonus: Increases Physical DMG by 10%.
- Four-piece bonus: After Clara attacks or is hit, her ATK increases by 5% for the rest of the battle. This effect can stack up to five times—it's very useful for her counters!
For Planar Orbments, give Clara the Inert Salsotto set. It's the one you can get by challenging in Simulated World 6. It will increase Clara's Crit Rate by 8%. When you're able to rack up her current CRIT Rate +50%, her counters will deal 15% more DMG.
Which of Clara's stats should you boost?
In terms of stats, you will want to either boost Clara's Attack or bulk. Clara takes many hits, so increasing things like HP will keep her alive longer.
- Feet: HP
- Body: Crit Rate or DMG
- Sphere: Physical Damage
- Rope: ATK
We also like SPD on her substats, just so she doesn't get pushed too far down the turn order.

Best Clara Team Comps
The most accessible partner for Clara is March 7th. When Clara gets shielded (and is the only one that gets shielded), it attracts even more enemies to target her. If Clara gets attacked with a shield, both she and March 7th follow up attack. This is a quick way to rack up chip damage on enemies while keeping the other teammates safe.
Luocha on the team also makes sure that her HP never falls into critical due to his passive. Buffers such as Bronya and Yukong are also good picks to boost her damage output.
Clara falls under the Destruction path in Honkai Star Rail, which means her job is to deal maximum damage. Her element is Physical, which is nice since there's a shortage of early-game Physical characters, especially considering how everybody's Trailblazer eventually trades the Physical element for Fire.
