Should you pull for Huohuo in Honkai: Star Rail?

Abundance characters used to be not very abundant in Honkai: Star Rail. Huohuo join Lynx, however, as some newcomers with the healer role.

That being said, Huohuo has a fairly unique kit that makes her feel like half of a healer and half of a Harmony support fused together. Not only does she heal, but Huohuo also cancels debuffs, lowers Attack on enemies and buffs Attack on teammates.

How good is Huohuo in Honkai: Star Rail?

Given her unique kit, Huohuo is definitely worth pulling in Honkai: Star Rail. There are only two other healers in the game right now (Natasha and Lynx), neither of which have the support capabilities that Huohuo has.

Her supportive kit starts with her skill, Talisman: Protection. This skill heals one teammate while cleansing them of one debuff. This can come in handy against Simulated Universe bosses that love applying debuffs (looking at you Kafka). Talisman: Protection also gives splash healing, which means teammates next to the target will also heal a bit, just not as much as the main target.

After using her skill, Huohuo gets two stacks of Divine Provision. This Talent will let the target ally heal after using their skill or Ultimate. On top of that, it can cancel out further debuffs up to six times on that ally.

Huohuo also has a very powerful Ultimate, called Tail: Spiritual Domination. This regenerates Energy for every ally on the field as well as boosting their Attack. Here is why she can feel like a Harmony at times, since she can boost stats as well as heal.

The one drawback to shooting for Huohuo is that the 4 star characters on her banner are not very exclusive. Her banner features these characters:

• Dan Heng
• Arlan
• Serval

While Dan Heng Eidolons are always welcome, everyone gets this character for free when starting the game. Serval is another free character that was also featured on other banners, such as Kafka's. Arlan not only was featured heavily previously, but he also is very low on the tier list. This means that this a great banner for Whales, but free-to-play players will not feel good at all if they go to pity on this banner.

Either way, it's definitely worth throwing some Stellar Jade at Huohuo, since she is such a phenomenal character. Anyone who didn't pull Lynx before should try hard to invest in Huohuo, since they will need a second healer for Memory of Chaos eventually.
