Sony's State of Play revealed that there would be an Open Beta Test for King of Fighters XV on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The Open Beta Test will begin on November 19, at 7pm PT, and it will last only until November 22, at 6:59am PT.
The Beta Test will have eight playable characters, which are—based on the trailer—Kyo, Iori, Chizuru, Yashiro, Shermie, Chris, Shun'ei, and newly revealed characters Dolores. Online Casual Match and Room Match will be available for the Beta. Offline training will also be a part of the Beta Test, so participating players can test out how some characters play in the game.

King of Fighters XV is the second part and "climax" of the Shun'ei story arc that started with King of Fighters XIV. XV builds on top of the gameplay mechanics of XIV, expanding things like Rush Combos while also bringing new mechanics like Shatter Strike. XV continues the series tradition of three-v-three fighter matches.
XV's roster incorporates several mainstays like Kyo and Terry while at the same time keeping some newer additions and bringing back classic characters that haven't appeared in a while. In years, XV will be the first mainline King of Fighters title that has Yashiro, Shermie, and Chris.
King of Fighters XV is set to release on February 17, 2022. Keep reading Pro Game Guides for more information on the series.
