How to get the Booster Glaive in Lies of P

Lies of P is a game drawing heavy inspiration from Bloodborne and Dark Souls, with incredibly difficult boss fights and combat mechanics to really push your skills to the limit. While some battles may seem insurmountable, they can be made easier by using the correct weapon that suits your playstyle.

Players can collect many weapons in the game, and even assemble different blades and handles to create unique weapons of their own. One such collectible weapon is the Booster Glaive, but to get your hands on it, you must first defeat the Puppet of the Future. The following is a guide on how you can defeat the Puppet of the Future and obtain the Booster Glaive in Lies of P.

Where to find the Booster Glaive in Lies of P (Location)

The Booster Glaive can be found inside the chest that is located at the end of the culvert where the Puppet of the Future roams. This is a unique heavy weapon that provides a combat style unlike any of the initial three weapons you get to choose.

The Booster Glaive is a heavy Greatsword with wide arching swings and thrusts. However, the biggest trick up its sleeve is the charged attack, which initiates a rocket propulsion that boosts you toward the target enemy. This special charge ability is great for closing down distance quickly, and the weapon's handle can be combined with any blade of your choice to change up the combat style while also retaining the boost from the charge attack.

How to beat the Puppet of the Future in Lies of P

The Puppet of the Future is a towering robotic puppet that roams a culvert inside Venigni Works in Lies of P, and guards a chest that contains the Booster Glaive. Although defeating the enemy is not required for players to obtain the weapon, the fight is still worth the shot as defeating the boss drops valuable rewards like Quartz and Ergo. With that, here is how you can easily defeat the Puppet of the Futute in Lies of P.

Drain the Corruption water

The Corruption water flooding the area where the Puppet of the Future roams is your biggest enemy here. The key to defeating this boss is to drain the Corruption water. To do so, you must first unlock the Workshop Union Culvert Stargazer. From the Workshop Union Culvert, instead of going straight toward the culvert, turn left and enter the tunnel where giant flaming balls roll down. Make your way up the tunnel while avoiding the flaming balls and the puppets, and then enter the last corridor to your right.

Go straight through the corridor until you are standing in the balcony, overlooking the Puppet of the Future. Turn left, go up the stairs, and interact with the machine located beside the detached red pipe to lower it down. Lowering the red pipe creates an easy shortcut for your next runs.

Once the red pipe is lowered, turn back and run across the Red Fox and Black Cat NPCs to find yourself in a room with a few puppets. From here, turn left toward the red pipes. This path will lead to a dead-end with a machine to turn off the Corruption water. Be careful, however, because a mini-boss fire-shovel puppet will be waiting to ambush you. Once the puppet is defeated, interact with the machine to turn off the flow of Corruption water in the Puppet of the Future's location.

Beat the boss

Despite its intimidating appearance, The Puppet of the Future is actually one of the easier bosses in the game. As mentioned before, the Corruption water flooding the area is your biggest enemy in this fight. Once the Corruption water has been drained, the fight against the Puppet of the Future becomes super easy. The boss has very slow attacks which can be easily dodged; the best strategy is to stay near the legs and dodge as soon as it raises its legs to perform a slam attack. Defeating the Puppet of the Future will reward you with one Quartz and a Radiant Ergo Chunk. Once the boss is defeated, make sure to open the chest at the end of the culvert to obtain the Booster Glaive.
