How to lock on in Like a Dragon Gaiden

Which enemy will you attack?

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name features fights with large groups of enemies, which can be overwhelming. As a result, I was left wondering if there is a way to lock on in Like a Dragon Gaiden.

How to lock on to enemies in Like a Dragon Gaiden

Press R1/Rb to lock onto enemies in Like a Dragon Gaiden. I've unlocked the Yakuza and Agent fighting styles, and both give the option to lock on to enemies. Fighting multiple enemies can be a pain, so use the lock on function to ensure you are targeting the enemy you want.

However, it is important to note how locking on does not come with an icon or visual cue. Instead, look at Kiryu, and he will be facing the enemy you locked on to regardless of where you move.

You do not need to use lock on to dispatch multiple enemies, but it does make it easier. It also works well for bosses, especially ones that move quickly and can be hard to track. Locking onto an enemy also makes using gadgets or throwing weapons at enemies easier.

By the way, did you know that past Yakuza games allow you to lock on to enemies using R1/RB? You can also use L2/LT to reset the camera, though this merely repositions it and does not really "lock on."
