All Endings in Lords of the Fallen & how to get them

Every Ending, at your beck and call...

In typical Souls fashion, Lords of the Fallen contains a number of different endings that you can potentially achieve. Each ending requires its own set of objectives that must be completed, and provide a different end-game conclusion scene.

Depending on which ending you're going for, the difficulty of getting each ending ranged from very easy to hard due to the amount specific steps that must be completed. Regardless of which you choose to hunt, here's how you get every possible ending in Lords of the Fallen.

How to get every Ending in Lords of the Fallen

The three endings you can get in Lords of the Fallen are the Good, Evil, and Umbral endings. Out of the three, the Umbral ending is by far the most difficult to obtain, while the Good ending is the easiest. For the sake of clarity, I'll be breaking down each ending into easy-to-digest steps you can follow to reach the ending of your choice.

How to get the Good Ending in Lords of the Fallen

The Good ending, also known as the Radiant ending, requires that you cleanse all the beacons before reaching the game's conclusion. As the game naturally guides you toward this ending, it is very easy to achieve. The steps are:

  • Cleanse all the Beacons you come across. These are highlighted by the red light shining into the sky. They can all be seen from anywhere in the game.
  • Defeat The Sundered Monarch in the throne room of Bramis Castle.
  • Head up the stairs and interact with Adyr's Effigy.
  • Defeat Adyr to achieve the Good ending.

How to get the Evil Ending in Lords of the Fallen

The Evil ending, also known as the Adyr or Inferno ending, requires quite a few more steps to achieve. Before embarking on this ending, ensure that you do not cleanse any of the beacons. Cleansing even one will shut out this ending for you entirely. Beyond this, the steps are as follows:

  • Play through the game normally, not cleansing any beacons you come across until you reach the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters. Head to the Great Hall and interact with the Rune of Adyr to obtain it..
  • Next, play through the game until you reach Bramis Castle, the last main area. Kill The Sundered Monarch in the throne room, and speak with Adyr's Effigy. This should empower the Rune of Adyr.
  • Return to all of the Beacons you passed and use the Empowered Rune of Adyr on them, infecting them with Adyr's presence.
  • Kill Judge Cleric the Radiant Sentinel at the final Beacon, The Empyrean. Judge Cleric will kneel in front of her beacon. Use the Rune of Adyr to enter her mind.
  • Speak with Iselle in Judge Cleric's mind, and you'll get the Evil ending.

How to get the Umbral Ending in Lords of the Fallen

The Umbral ending is Lords of the Fallen's secret ending and requires numerous steps to accomplish. I will list each step in order, but you must be careful not to do anything outside of the listed order. Even simple interactions with the wrong NPCs at the wrong times can make you fail this ending entirely. Once again, do not cleanse the Beacons, though they do not directly correlate to reaching this ending. The steps are:

  • Talk to Damarose the Marked near the Vestige of Chabui. Speak to her entirely so she moves to the next location in the game.
  • Free the blacksmith Gerlinde located in a cell within Pilgrim's Perch
  • Play normally until you find Damarose the Marked again near the Gentle Gaverus, Mistress of Hounds mini-boss encounter in Pilgrim's Perch. Once again, speak to her so she moves to Fitzroy's Gorge.
  • At Fitzroy's Gorge, speak to Damarose the Marked near Shuja Hamlet. She'll be close to a cliff nearby. Speak to her once more so that she moves to the Shrine of Adyr.
  • Speak with Damarose the Marked at the Shrine of Adyr. She remains here for the rest of the playthrough.
  • Play through the game normally until you arrive at the Revelation Depths. Here, kill Harrower Devia the Pledged Knight. This should reveal an Umbral well that's in the area. You'll come back to this, but confirm that is there before moving on.
  • Head back to Skyrest Bridge and buy the Umbral Scouring Clump from Molhu for 50 Umbral Scourings. Molhu can only be seen and interacted with while in Umbral.
  • Return to the well you found in the Revelation Depths, near where you fought Harrower Devia the Pledged Knight, and use the Umbral Scoruing Clump. This should bring you to Mother's Lull, a key location for achieving this ending.

  • Speak to the Umbral Remnant within Mother's Lull and obtain Damarose's Seedpod.
  • Now, return to Damarose the Marked who should be at the Shrine of Adyr if you've been progressing the steps correctly. Use Damarose's Seedpod on her. This will kill her. This is a crucial step.
  • Return to Mother's Lull and speak with the Remnant to obtain Gerlinde's Seedpod.
  • Find Gerlinde in her room at Skyrest Bridge and use Gerlinde's Seedpod. This will kill her.
  • Next, play the game normally until you reach the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters. Kill Rapteruous Huntress of the Dusk and obtain Rune of Adyr from the Grand Hall nearby.
  • Play the game normally until you fight The Lightreaper in Upper Calrath. Kill him to obtain The Lightreaper's Umbral Parasite. Do NOT interact with the Gate of Bramis Castle. If you open it with the Rune of Adyr in your inventory, you will fail this ending.
  • Return to Skyrest Bridge and place The Lightreaper's Umbral Parasite in Molhu's room.
  • Return to Mother's Lull and speak with the Remnant to obtain the Withered Rune of Adyr and Melchoior's Seedpod.

  • With the Withered Rune of Adyr, open the Gate of Bramis Castle and play until you reach The Sundered Monarch. Kill him in the throne room.
  • Walk up the stairs and use Melchoior's Seedpod on Adyr's Effigy. This will kill Adyr, making it impossible to reach the Good ending from this point.
  • Head to Feif of the Chill Curse and find The Iron Wayfarer. He should be there if you defeated him at Bramis Castle. Note that he can only be found while you're in Umbral here.
  • Interact with The Iron Wayfarer and use the Withered Rune of Adyr to kill him and obtain Harkyn's Umbral Parasite.
  • Return to Skyrest Bridge and place Harkyn's Umbral Parasite in Molhu's room, the same place you put The Lightreaper's Umbral Parasite.
  • Speak to Molhu and learn that Pieta is your final target.
  • Speak to Pieta in Skyrest Bridge and choose to Soulflay her. Make sure you're geared up with your best weapons, as the next step is very difficult.

  • Kill Elianne the Starved, the true final boss of Lords of the Fallen. This should give you Elianne's Umbral Parasite.
  • Place Elianne's Umbral Parasite in Molhu's room.
  • Speak with Molhu again and choose to enter Mother's Lull.
  • In Mother's Lull, use the platforms that were raised with every used Seedpod to reach the conclusion, giving you the Umbral ending, at long last.
