When deciding what armor is the best for your character, you'll want to take a look at the weight, what mitigation and resistance it provides, and overall, just how awesome it looks. Take a look at some of the best options below and how to get them.

Lords of the Fallen Best Armor Sets List

There are plenty of armor options out there for you to obtain. For some of them, you'll have to save up some currency to purchase from NPCs like Molhu or the Shrines. Others you can get from defeating bosses or opening chests. We selected some of the ones we believe are the best, whether you're looking for a light or heavy build.

Pieta's Set

Pieta's set (as seen and worn by the boss and NPC Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal) is a stunning variation of the classic knight armor. It is a well-balanced set with medium-weight encumbrance and focuses more greatly on Physical and Holy protection.

You can purchase Pieta's armor set from Molhu in Skyrest Bridge by collecting Pieta's Remembrance after completing her boss fight.

Scourged Sister Set

The Scourged Sister set is an interesting mix of light and heavy armor, appearing like simple wrappings but with a dramatic steel helm wrapped in barbed wire. This set weighs significantly less due to most of the pieces being light armor, allowing for greater agility and speed. It also specializes in Physical and Poison damage protection.

You can get the Scourged Sister set by defeating Scourged Sister enemies or the Scourged Sister Delyth, all of whom have a chance to drop pieces of the set.

Lightreaper's Set

The Lightreaper set, as seen on the infamous Lightreaper boss that players face multiple times, is a balanced mix of medium and heavy pieces. It excels at protection against magical abilities (specifically fire). It also has a higher mitigation against all Physical forms of damage, and it is often preferred for ranged builds.

You can purchase the Lightreaper's armor set from Molhu in Skyrest Bridge by collecting the Lightreaper's Remembrance after defeating him in battle.

Harrower Set

The Harrower set is another well-balanced armor set of heavy and medium pieces. It is a sleek, almost elven-styled design with pointed boots and pauldrons. Its most defining feature is its high Physical damage mitigation, but it also excels at other magical resistances.

The Harrower set can be purchased from Molhu at the Skyrest Bridge by collecting The Unbroken Promise's Remembrance after completing their boss fight.

Crimson Rector Set

The Crimson Rector set is quite the display of armor, more suited for up-and-personal combat with its main focus on Physical damage mitigation and heavy-weight encumbrance. It offers balanced protection from most damage types and only slightly lacks fire resistance.

How to get Crimson Rector armor set in Lords of the Fallen

You can get the Crimson Rector armor set by defeating Crimson Rector enemies or the Crimson Rector Percival mini-boss in Fitzroy's Gorge, all of whom have a chance to drop pieces of the set.

Fitzroy's Set

The Fitzroy's Set is one of the most well-rounded sets I've seen in the game. Although a heavier set, it has high numbers in all mitigation and resistances, keeping you protected from all forms of damage coming your way. This is perfect for tank-style play.

In Fitzroy's Gorge tower, make your way to the very top and look for a small gap in the wall to your right. Head through to an outside area and follow a narrow path to a ladder. Make your way up the ladder, then cross over the wooden beam to a second ladder and continue upwards. At the very top, you'll spot a chest containing the full Fitzroy's Set.

Judge Cleric's Set

Judge Cleric's Set is one of my personal favorite-looking armor sets in the game, with an almost gladiator-like vibe to it and a symbolic crown of thorns as the helm. This is a set of all heavy armor (minus the helm), and focuses more greatly on Physical and Holy mitigation, as well as resisting Bleed effects.

You can purchase Judge Cleric's armor set from Molhu in Skyrest Bridge by collecting Judge Cleric, The Radiant Sentintal's Remembrance, after completing their boss battle.

Descrier Guide Set

The Descrier Guide set is one of the lightest armor sets you can find in the game, only just under 30 points for the full set. It makes it great for agility and speed-based builds while not sacrificing too much of its protective qualities. Thankfully, you can also find it pretty early in the game as well.

From the Vestige of Ethryg in the Skyrest Bridge, continue all the way down the corridor and through the doorway past the staircases. Then, walking around the large opening on the floor, continue down the stairs on the right until you get to the crypt area. Walk behind the crypt/coffin area and you'll spot the chest containing the whole Descrier Guide set.

Skinstealer Set

The Skinstealer Set is one of the more visually disturbing-looking armor, appearing like a flayed skin or pelt draped down the front of you. However, it is one of the best-balanced sets you can get and not quite as heavy. It provides high numbers of damage mitigation and resistance, while still allowing you to focus on decent agility and speed.

How to get Skinstealer armor set in Lords of the Fallen

The Skinstealer armor set can be collected by defeating Skinstealer enemies or the Skinstealer mini-boss, all of whom have a chance to drop pieces of the set.

Tancred's Set

Tancred's Set is one of the heaviest sets of armor yet, but only reasonably so with its whopping 779 physical damage protection and high numbers in just about everything else as well. While you may be sacrificing a bit of mobility, this set is perfect for tank builds and players focusing more on enduring damage as they battle their enemies face-on.

How to get Tancred's armor set in Lords of the Fallen

You can purchase Tancred's Set from Molhu at Skyrest Bridge by collecting Tancred Master of Castigations and Reinhold the Immured's Remembrance after defeating them in their boss battle.

These are just a few of our favorite and most effective sets of armor we've come across, but there are plenty of other options out there. Always be sure to Soulflay Remembrances after boss fights to gain their collections, and keep your eyes peeled for chests that almost always contain full sets of armor.
