Lost Lands 5 Walkthrough, Part 3 - Ice Spell full guide and puzzles

This part of my Lost Lands walkthrough guide covers from when you start to make the Cold Blood Elixir in the temple and continues up to when you go through the portal to the museum. For earlier and later parts of the storyline, head to my Lost Lands 5 Walkthrough hub page for all the puzzle hints and item location information you need.

Heading into the gorge

Select the alchemy table (a1), add the wolf blood, and eggs, then put all the ingredients on the table into the five holes. Use the hammer to secure all of the bungs and then use the bottle to receive the Cold Blood Elixir

Move to the gorge in the frozen mountains, select the barrier (b1), and use the elixir to go through to the Wall of First Birth

The Morphing Object is on the left (c1) and the Collectible is on the right (c2). Look in the cave entrance (c3) and move the bones to find a Projector Seal, then examine the camp (c4) to start a missing objects puzzle.

If you’re struggling with the lamp buttons, the direction arrow shows the order of the buttons while the numbers are how many times you have to press each one. So it’s:

  • Top-left once
  • Bottom-right once
  • Top-right three times
  • Bottom-left twice

Get a Manuscript as you search, plus the Rune once you’re done. Now head up the mountain in the background (c5).

The Peak of Death

You’ll find the Collectible on the steps (d1) and the Morphing Object (d2) in the snow. Take a Manuscript and the Drill (d3), and then use the fire scepter to melt the ice (d4) and take your second Projector Seal. Use the hammer to try and get some Charcoal Crystal (d5), then use the bag to collect it when it falls.

Move to the giant site, use the projector seal on the sword pommel (e1), and then select the pyramid (e2) for a close-up. Click it again to start a mosaic puzzle. This one is a little time-consuming, but not really a puzzle, as you can’t fail. I’ve included a picture of the completed image below.

Once complete, the pyramid opens up and you can take the Puzzle Cube. Afterward, click Maaron for a cut scene and he’ll give you a Key

Go to Maaron’s hut, select the desk (f1), and use the key to open the drawer above it. Take the Plank On A Rope

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

Move to the halfling village and use the rope on the well (g1) to get a Stick. Use the stick on the drill part in your inventory to make a Drill, then use it to get to the box in the well. Now use the hammer on the ice, and take the Casket. Open the casket in your inventory to find 43 Kyolls and then take back Maaron’s Chest

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

Select the book of spells in your inventory, put Maaron’s chest on the table, and then find the Revelation Spell in the book. Open the box, use the wand to copy it, and then take the Rune Stone from the box. Head to the forest’s edge, use the rune stone on the portal on the left (h1) to power it up, and then head to the forest thicket in the Darkwoods.

To the Darkwoods

The Morphing Object (i1) is at the base of the tree, while the Collectible (i2) is above it in the same tree. Use the dagger on the cobwebs (i3) to take the Cones, then click the hand (i4). Take the Key Part and Crossbow, then use the crossbow on the tree (by clicking the top of the pit first) to climb out. Move forward down the path (i5) to the Ancient Ontus.

Take the Collectible (j1), the Morphing Object (j2), a Rune (j3), and the Nail Puller from the table (j4). Place the charcoal crystal on the table next, and you’ll receive a second Key Part from the Ontus.

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

Open the puzzle cube in your inventory and add the two key parts. This starts a puzzle in which you need to arrange its corners into the right positions (see above if you’re having difficulties with this puzzle). Once open, take the Fragment from inside.

Now examine the door on the right (j5) and place the fragment in its center. You need to press the three inner circle tiles which equate to the highlighted plate on the outer one. The answers are as follows:

  1. ABD
  2. ABC
  3. ADE
  4. CDE
  5. BCD
  6. BCE
  7. ACE
  8. ACD

Once complete the door will open, so head through to the Lonely Rock.

Grab the Collectible from the twig (k1) and the Morphing Object from the grass (k2). Throw your cones at the raven (k3) and it will drop the Medallion into the water below (k4). You can’t get it yet though.

Use the dagger to cut and take a Long Pole (k5), then use the nail puller to open the barrel (k6) and take the Nails and Red Flags. Click anywhere in the background with the long pole, and then the flags, to be able to move forward, then click the background once more to start a travel mini-game (see the solution below).

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

Select the bridge next (k7) and take the Planks and a Rune. Open your inventory and choose the planks, clicking them twice to lay them out. Add the nails, and then use the hammer to make a Temporary Bridge. Now you can click the cave entrance (k8), add the bridge, and move into the Goblin Cave.

After speaking to Krickar, grab the Morphing Object (l1) from the bottom step of the stairs and the Collectible (l2) from the cavern roof. Take the Pike Pole (l3), then move some rubbish (l4) to find a Garden Trowel

You can now head back outside and use the pike pole to fish out the Medallion (k4). Go to the forest thicket next and use the trowel (i6) to find 6 Kyolls in a buried skull. You can also pop back to the wall of the first birth (c6) and add the runes you have collected to the wall there. I like to do this simply to free up my inventory space a bit.

Go back into the goblin cave and take the Rods from the table (l5). Now you can add the rods to the steps (l6), giving you access to a simple (as in you can’t go wrong) missing objects mini-game upstairs (l7). Once complete, you’ll find Krickar’s Belt. Give it to Krickar and, after the cut scene, Krickar will give you a Drawing.

Finding the fairy glade

Return to the Ontus and use the drawing on the left door (j6) to begin a jigsaw-style puzzle. Once you’ve completed it (see the solution above), move through the door to the Mist Lake.

You’ll find the Morphing Object (m1) at the edge of the lake and the Collectible (m2) above the bell. Open the trap (m3) to free the hedgehog and find a Note. Now ring the bell (m4) to summon the boat. Put 50 Kyolls into the pot on the boat in the close-up to gain access to the rest of the scene.

Use the pike to pull the rigging down (m5), giving you access to the crow’s nest. Take the Medallion Handle there, and then combine it with the medallion in your inventory to get the Key

You can now go back to the goblin cave, clear the moss from the chest (l8), open it with the key, and take the Leather Bag. Open the bag in your inventory to find a Magnifying Glass, Tweezers, and 70 Kyolls. Also, pop back to the pumpkin store (g2) and buy the last item there, the jar of mushroom Bugs. Head back to the lake, and click the background to move on to the Fairy Glade

Healing the tree

You’ll find the Collectible under the steps (n1) and the Morphing Object in the leaves (n2). Take the Device Base (n3), then grab the Treble Clef from the gate close-up (n4). Add the treble clef to the stone tablet (n5), then click the tablet once more to collect the Set Of Pipes

Now select the area you took the base from (n3) and add the note, pipes, and base in the close-up. Hang the pipes as shown in the note (see below) and you’ll receive the Wind Chime. Hang the chime (n3) and the gates will open (n4). Select them, click the fairy, and talk to Flylena. Afterward, she’ll give you the Tiny Fairy Book.

Look at the tree roots (n6), then look at the book of spells in your inventory and add the tiny book to the table. Select the Enlarge Spell and copy it to find a note and a key. Now find the Reduction Spell and copy that to shrink the key. Use the magnifying glass to find the key on the table and then use the tweezers to pick up the Small Key.

Return to the fairy glade and use the bugs on the moss (n6) to cure the tree. Pick up the Rune the pigeon drops underneath the wind chime (n3), and Flylena will give you a Sleepy Flower. Use the flower on the bird in the crow’s nest (m5), take the Chest, and then go right back to the Ancient Portal

Select the chest in your inventory and use the magnifying glass to find the keyhole. Use the key to open it and take the Chest of Dust. Add the rune to the portal (o1), add the dust, and the portal will open. Select it to move to The Museum.
