Lost Lands 5 Walkthrough, Part 4 - Ice Spell full guide and puzzles

The guide below begins just after you have gone through the portal to the museum and covers you right up to the end of the main storyline. If you are looking for help with earlier parts of the adventure, or the bonus chapter, head to my Lost Lands 5 Walkthrough. You’ll find links to all the information you may need there.

Outside the museum

You’ll find the Morphing Object in front of the bench (a1) and the Collectible on the wall (a2). Empty out the bin (a3) to find a Ticket, read the paper on the bench (a4) to find a Paperclip, and use the clip to open the circuit box (a5). Take the Light Bulb and Crowbar from inside.

Replace the light bulb on the lamp (a6), use the crowbar to remove the window grate (a7), and climb through to the Archives. Before you can do anything more, you’ll need to switch on the light (b1).

The Collectible is on the floor (b2) and the Morphing Object is on the shelf (b3). Shove the dagger into the grate (b4) to stop the fan, then click the grate again to start a movement puzzle.

You need to direct Flylena to the exit. If you’re stuck on this mini-game, reset and copy the following:

  • Up, right, left, up, right, up, left (under a bridge and all the way across).
  • Up, right (just one space), down (under two bridges right to the bottom), right, down.

Once done, she’ll open the door from the other side and give you access to the First Floor, so head up.

The Security Room

Grab the Collectible (c1) the Morphing Object (c2), and then click the camera (c3) to have Krickar deal with it. Select the picture on the wall (c4) to find a Key, then click it again to find out that the exhibition you want to visit is on the second floor. Select the end of the corridor (c5), take a Rune in the close-up, and then use the key to open the Security Room door (c6) and head inside.

Click the camera (d1) so that Krickar can take it out, move the chair (d2), and then switch on the light (d3). Now you can take the Morphing Object (d4), and the Collectible (d5), and complete the missing objects mini-game on the desk (d6). If you’re stuck making the image, I’ve pictured it below (then follow the arrow to get a key). Once complete, you’ll get the Note With Code (4852).

Add the code to the safe (d7) and take the Dollar Bill and Mint Candy from inside. In the same safe close-up, click the telephone to listen to the answer phone and find out the last surveillance video will be marked August 23 (at 11.52), while there are fuses in Box 23. Open the key holder (d8) and take the Key Numbered 23.

Fixing the elevator

Head back down to the archives, use the key to open Box 23 (b5), take the Fuses, then take the file marked 08.23.2017 from the shelves (b6). Open the file, read it, and then take the CD from inside.

Now return to the museum courtyard, select the fuse box (a5), and add the fuses to start a math puzzle. It doesn’t matter what sequence you use, but each row needs to add up to 30. So, for example, you can do:

  • 20, 5, 5
  • 10, 10, 10
  • 15, 10, 5

Once complete you’ll be able to operate the lift, so head back inside to the first floor and use it (c7) to go to the Second Floor.

Have Krickar take out the camera (e1) by clicking it, then take the Morphing Object (e2) and the Collectible (e3). Select the vending machine (e4) for a close-up, plug it in, and then use the dollar bill to try to get a drink. When it fails take the bill back, straighten it in your inventory, and try again. This time, take a Soda

Select the soda in your inventory and click it to remove the gum that’s attached. Open the gum, add the candy to the same close-up, and open its wrapper. Take the lid off the soda bottle, add the gum to the lid, then add the candy to the gum. Put the lid back on and you’ll get the Sweet Bomb

Take the Rune (e5), and then try the window handle in the same close-up to find it stuck. Pull the right curtain in the close-up across to the handle, then hit it with the hammer. Now you can open the window. Click the Wrench in the open window close-up to find it is too noisy to use. Use the soda bomb on the cop, then use the wrench to take the Board.

Use the board on the unfinished display (e6) to get past it, then click the background (e7) for a close-up of the display and use the ticket to open the barriers. Select the background once more (e7) to move through to the Exhibition Hall.

The exhibition hall

When you get to the exhibition hall, you’re faced with laser security. Click anywhere on the screen and let Flylena get to work. You need to get Flylena (the blue dot) right across the screen to the red dot to take it out. You can simply fly straight across the middle, stopping at the three points I’ve marked above (Flylena is at the first of the three points).

Get Krickar to disable the camera (f1), then collect your final mitten Collectible from the painting on the left (f2) and the Morphing Object, which is the small painting on the right (f3). Take the Key Card (f4), open the briefcase (f5) to find and take the Forensic Set, and then also take the Horn of Frost (f6).

Head down to the archive once more, use the keycard to open the locked gate (b7), and open the case on the right to find a Rune. Now return to the security office and use the forensic kit on the keyboard to find the security guards use the numbers 9, 4, and 3 in the passcode (943). Click the CD draw in the close-up to open it, remove the disc there, add your CD, close the tray, and then watch the footage to see the order in which the guard pressed the runes (from left, it was 1, 4, 3, 2).

The frozen mountains

Return to the wall of the first birth in the Frozen Mountains and add all the remaining runes to the wall (if you’re missing any, refer to my earlier guides linked above). When the wall is complete, click it once more (g1) to retrieve the Phantom Blade

Now go to the Peak of Death and use the blade to remove the Horn (h1).

You need to go to the temple in the dwarf dungeons next. Speak to Buldan (i1), and then click the crystal ball (i2) to note the image you need to enter the workshop. Move to the crypt, select the door on the left, and arrange the buttons so that they match the image in the crystal ball (which you’ll find in your notes).

If you need help with this puzzle, from a clean reset press the following (using the image above): 1 (twice), 3, 2, and 5 (twice). The door will open, allowing you to enter the Workshop.

The workshop

The final glass Collectible is on the wall (j1), while your very final Morphing Object is on the opposite wall (j2). Select the small altar (j3) to also find your final Manuscript, under which you’ll find a Key. Select the furnace (j4), use the fire scepter to spark it, and then add your remaining Kyolls to the furnace to gain access to the actual workshop.

Use the key to open the doors (k1) and unveil a missing objects mini-game. The only potentially tricky bit here is arranging the tiles to match the image. From a clean reset, use the image below to set them correctly:

  • Switch 2 and 4
  • Switch 1 and 6
  • Switch 3 and 6
  • Switch 3 and 5

Once done, take the Crystals. Select the area above the puzzle (k2), add the horns and the crystals, add the top and bottom pieces to the right horn, and then add the circles of crystals to the horn in the correct order. The trick here is that a ring can only be added (largest first) if it is the only one on its cone. If you’re stuck on this, see below.

  1. Move 1 across to position 2
  2. Add 3 to the horn
  3. Move 2 back to position 1
  4. Move 4 to position 5
  5. Add 6 to the horn
  6. Move 5 back to position 4
  7. Add 7 to the horn
  8. Add 4 to the horn
  9. Add 1 to the horn

Take the completed Horn of Fire

Summoning the Fiery Tarsas

After the cut scene, return to the exhibition hall in the museum. Select the central exhibit, add the horn of fire, and then click the runes in the correct order (from left, 1432). Click the horn once more to begin the final cut scene. Congratulations! You’ve beaten the main storyline of Lost Lands 5, Ice Spell.
