How to heal in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope

The damage is so realistic… it hurts.

As a role-playing game, getting damaged in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope means losing some HP. And when you’re playing on higher difficulties, not being able to heal could prove fatal to your battle strategies.

Healing strategies in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope

So far, we’ve found four ways to heal in the game:

  • Getting Rabbid Peach to use Heal on you during a battle
  • Using healing items such as Super Mushrooms during a battle
  • Spending coins outside or before a battle
  • Turning on Hero Health Management in the Settings

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope isn’t like most JRPGs on the market where you can make a healer do their magic mid-journey at the cost of MP. Rabbid Peach can’t heal, nor can you use items, outside of battles.

Since coins are a precious resource, we recommend that you heal the first way as much as you can. Before you proceed with an event or a big battle, enter random encounters and get Rabbid Peach to heal party members to full HP. You can level up Rabbid Peach’s Heal potency on the Skill Tree menu—it’s even the first upgrade you should prioritize.

Meanwhile, Super Mushrooms and other similar items can be bought from the item shop for 70 coins. However, coins can most certainly be used for better items like Reset Cooldowns, so you shouldn’t waste them often. In fact, only keep around five Super Mushrooms in stock in case you need to heal in a pinch (and only in a pinch).

Of course, if you want to take it easy, you can always turn on Hero Health Management in the Gameplay menu. This is found in your Settings. Press the plus (+) button to open it. Hero Health Management allows you to automatically recover health after battles or even level up, depending on your preference.
