How to get the Flamethrower in Metroid Prime Remastered

How to turn Samus into Charizard.

Some players can go through the entirety of Metroid Prime Remastered without getting the Flamethrower. This is a shame, because it makes Samus so powerful. With the press of a button, Samus can literally incinerate hordes of enemies, making the Flamethrower great for clearing crowded rooms. It's not difficult to get either, players simply need to know where to look.

Where can players find the Flamethrower in Metroid Prime Remastered?

To get the Flamethrower in Metroid Prime Remastered, players need to backtrack to the Main Quarry of the Phazon Mines. Samus won't be able to unlock the Flamethrower room without the Plasma Beam, though, so make sure to pick that up in Magmoor Caverns beforehand.

With the Plasma Beam in hand, head to the opening Ice Beam door through the Main Quarry which leads to the tunnels of the Phazon Mines (Mine Security Room). This room is filled with Wave Troopers and Ice Troopers, so step one is to clear those out. At the end of the first hallway, players may notice a Plasma Beam door locked away behind some metal bars; that's actually the Flamethrower room.

After the entire room has been cleared of enemies, Samus will be able to scan an activation lock which will unlock all of the doors, including the one in front of the Flamethrower room. Head back to that area, blast the door away with a Plasma Beam, and go collect the Flamethrower. If done early enough, players can get the Flamethrower even before the big Omega Pirate fight at the end of the Phazon Mines.
