How to get the Morph Ball Bomb in Metroid Prime Remastered

Get powered up.

Shortly into Metroid Prime Remastered the player loses access to all of Samus' iconic abilities, such as the Grapple Shot and Missile Launcher. Another move she loses is the Morph Ball Bomb, but players don't have to wait very long to get it back.

Where to find the Morph Ball Bomb in Metroid Prime

After finishing the tutorial sequence, players will find themselves in the Chozo Ruins. It's here where players will start finding their lost abilities, including the Morph Ball Bomb. The Morph Ball Bomb is found in the Burn Dome section of the area, which players access by going through the Gathering Hall, into the East Atrium, and through Energy Core Access into the Energy Core before finally taking a short tunnel to the Burn Dome.

The area is easily accessible from Save Station 2, so players who have that unlocked aren't too far off from getting the Morph Ball Bomb. However, things aren't as simple as entering the Burn Dome and picking up the item, as there's a short boss fight that takes place before players get the ability.

How to defeat the Incinerator Drone in Metroid Prime

The Morph Ball Bomb is being protected by the Incinerator Drone, a small machine that shoots out streams of fire. It's a simple fight, as all the player has to do is defeat the critters that come out of the hive on the ceiling while dodging the flames. The drone will eventually reveal its weak spot, the red circle that pops out the top of it. Focus on that and shoot it each time it comes out and the fight will be finished in no time.

Once the boss is defeated, players can pick up the Morph Ball Bomb and continue progressing through the game. Instead of going back the way they came, players will want to make sure they use the newly unlocked ability to blow up the blocked opening to unlock another Missile Expansion.
