All Candle Colors in Minecraft and How to Get Them

Candle Rainbow!

Minecraft 1.17 brought a plethora of new content to the game, including things such as goats, axolotls, glowing item frames, and more. One of the most notable changes is the inclusion of candles and their myriad of colors. In this guide, we will explain how to make each different candle color.

A normal Candle can be crafted using a Honeycomb and a String placed in the pattern shown in the image below. This can be done without a Crafting Table.

Once you have a candle, you can change its color by crafting it with colored Dye. This can also be done without a Crafting Table. The gallery below shows you the recipe and ingredients needed for each candle.

It is also possible to give a player a candle of any color via commands. Commands are an administrative tool and can only be used by server admins, in Creative Mode, or in Survival worlds where commands are enabled. The commands for each version are shown below. Note: replace the word color with the color you want to get.

Java:

/give PlayerName minecraft:color_candle

Bedrock:

/give "PlayerName" color_candle

That's all there is to know about getting each candle color! Make something creative!
