How to download Minecraft Java Edition 1.18 Experimental Snapshot 7?

If you want to download Minecraft Java Edition 1.18 experimental snapshot 7, you must visit the official announcement post at the Minecraft.net website.

At the official post, find the section labeled "how do I get the experimental snapshot". Under this section will be a download link for a zip file, this zip file is the version file for Minecraft Java Edition 1.18 experimental snapshot 6. 

Update: The Latest expermential snapshot can be found at the offical site for Minecraft.

So click the link and download the zip file, and when the file finishes downloading, you will need to take that file and unpack or extract it into your local Minecraft versions folder.

You can locate the .minecraft folder in AppData by following the steps listed below.

  • Press and hold down bothWin+R and copy-paste %appdata%\.minecraft and hit enter. You can also find your local Minecraft folder by pasting the following text into windows explorer
  • C:\Users\yourpcname\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions

Following these steps will help you locate your .minecraft versions folder on your pc. When you find your local Minecraft folder, all you will need to do is copy-paste the address and set it as the destination folder for the zip file you just downloaded.

After this, open up the Java Minecraft launcher and hit create a new installation. A new tab will open up, and you will need to hit the button that says new installation and select version 1.18_experimental-snapshot-7. 

Once set, just hit play on the launcher and make sure to create a new world, and you will be all set to play the Minecraft Java Edition 1.18 experimental snapshot 6.
